In another thread Duncan remarked about my Schrade USA pocketknives and I replied that it was pretty sad the way Schrade USA knives are slowly dying away now, 20 years after their bankruptcy. If you don't own a Schrade USA made Premium or Medium Stockman pocketknife then this GAW is for you, just enter that you are in, and I will give a Schrade USA 8OT or 34OT (your choice) to the winner - hoping that the knife will get carried and appreciated. I'll let this run a week, winner must be a regular on the Traditional sub-forum, you can live anywhere, I'll cover the postage. Representative pictures that I have available below. OH

Bruce, I could be wrong but something tells me I can’t jump in on his GAW 🤨 But everybody should have at least 1 USA made Schrade stockman…and a spare???

Very generous giveaway OH.

I remember the Old Timer stockmans being very popular many years ago, but I just never bought one. I still have my Uncle Henry 885 stockman that I bought back in 1970, so I guess I'm not eligible for the Old Timers. Darn it!

I have a 34OT that I carried about a decade. BUT, I've since retired it. I have a 4 year old boy... and I believe every boy should have a Schrade USA Old Timer... so he'll probably get that when he's able to handle a knife that takes such a keen edge. I do not have an 80T, but I sure would like one, and I would give it a LOT of pocket time, whittling, and use, so If I quality, considering I have the 34OT, I'd like to enter. Like afishhunter afishhunter the 8OT is something of a grail knife for me.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again, I sure hate that Schrade went under. Growing up, Old Timer was what the common working folk had, and only rich folks and old men had a Case XX. Schrade was what the boys bought and carried, myself included.

A very awesome GAW, thank you for your generousity.

Concerning post number 3 ...
Sorry.
If the 858 Lumberjack counts as a "premium" OT stockman, please remove my name from the hat, since I have one of those.
When I wrote post three, I was "thinking" 8OT Senior Stockman/34OT Middleman Stockman only, which I don't have; either vintage or overseas made.

Also,
Please remove me from the hat if my Imperial (hollow bolster) Bicentenial or Frontier 4435 stockmans count against me. 😇
I want to be honest. If I not eligable, I not eligable. 😇
My apologies for not thinking of those three stockmans earlier.☹️
