Schrade USA GAW (Winner(s) announced) - post #55

I'm in, if I'm allowed. Not a paying member, one of the poorer members of this nuthouse, obviously.

The only Schrades I own are an old LB7 and a Sharpfinger, but I've owned them a long, long time.
You don’t have to be a paid member of Blade Forums for this GAW, simply a member who contributes by discussion on the Traditional Forum. OH

Thanks for the generous GAW, Bruce!:cool::thumbsup:
Not an entry, since I have a Schrade USA 34OT (as well as a couple of other Schrade USA models and a bunch of Oriental Old Timers).

I am not in as I do not post often(I mainly just lurk and spend 99% of my board time here on The Porch). But wanted to mention that it is very kind of you to offer this. Another example of how truly awesome The Porch can be. 👍

I'll join this, you made me go look to see what Schardes I own, and surprisingly I only have a folding hunter and a lock back. I suppose that makes sense, I usually gravitate towards buck or case. My father was a scharde man, usually a one of the lock back knives on his belt.

Not an entry. Just here to say this is a very generous giveaway Old Hunter Old Hunter and I'm glad someone who has never had a Schrade USA in hand will get the chance to! They will not be disappointed!!

USA made Schrade's were my entry into pocket knife collecting. I have an old 8OT that I used quite a bit when I got it. I need to get it back out sometime! I liked it so much, I searched around until I found one NIB at a good price as a backup.

I appreciate the interest in this GAW, I ran the entries through an on-line Random Number Generator; #5 was on top ( ZHoovie ZHoovie is the winner). If you will pick which pocketknife you prefer and message me your address I will get er done! #11 was the second number drawn, S scattershot is second, he gets whichever one ZHoovie doesn't pick. Thanks for playing! Enjoy the Schrade USA Knives - they won't ever be made again. OH

They are getting some fine American steel.
I've told this story before. But, before my grandfather passed, I got the Uncle Henry folding hunter we used to clean deer and rabbit. At the time, I didn't know any brands other than Case and didn't know a folding hunter from a stockman. A clip from a sheepfoot. I noticed the Uncle Henry had a Schrade tang stamp and started searching for information which led me to these forums. One thing that surprised me at the time, but likely not my grandfather, was that there seemed to be a general consensus that Schrade had some of the best 1095 around. Fine American Steel, indeed!

Congrats ZHoovie ZHoovie and S scattershot ! And thanks again for such a generous giveaway Old Hunter Old Hunter !!
