Schrade

oh its cool, and im glad to have reignited an old fire hehe, and show your like/ dislike of shcrades from the PRC(peoples republic of china).

ha--i WISH the ones from the peoples whatever WAS spelled like that. it would make it impossible in future years to CONTAMINATE our collections.

I just cut a 100 yard path through hard wood with a Taylor made Schrade Survival Extreme BT01. It was pretty dull at the end. Had it back to shaving sharp in just a couple of minutes. Thats one heck of a working knife.

Mr. Byrd,
Nice of you to visit the site and set some things straight. I mistakenly made some positive comments about the new production Schrades from Taylor and was soundly beat down for it.

Some people are better with change than others. Please note that the small number of people posting negatives about your company's products represent an even smaller percentage of the knife buying public. From what I have seen, your new products do the old Schrade name justice, and I wish you continued good fortune.

Thanks Riata for you comments.

As for my posting, I wasn't attempting to convince anyone to purchase any product. I just wanted set the record straight concerning past history on manufacturing. I think you will be pleased to note that within the next 30 days Schrade will be shipping our new Commemorative Cowboy and Cowgirl UP collectors knives and tins. You can get a sneak peek at www.taylorbrandsllc.com and click on "New Products".

The Cowgirl Up looks real nice with it's pink swirled handles and the third blade is serrated for rope cutting.

Have a great day, and thanks.

Mr. Byrd, whereas i respect the right of Taylor Schrade to have manufactured and market the "new" Schrade knives, i believe that advertising or promoting ones' products is not allowed in this forum, either by a company or individual.
if you wish to pass certain information on to a specific individual, then you may contact that person via the P.M. system in place.
there are specific Manufacturers Forums here at BF and a "Taylor Schrade" site could be started should you wish to inform people of your products.
if i have mis-understood the rules, i ask someone please correct me. roland

Thank you, Joe. I like the cowboy and the cowgirl. I know one guy who will be getting a gender appropriate Schrade cowboy. A serrated blade is particularly handy to some of us.

Nice of you to jump right into this forum site with a platinum membership. Shows class and style.

I'll end my participation in this thread, my point being made. Seems to me the Schrade name is in fine hands.

I understand that Mr. Taylor owns the rights to the schrade name and can do with it what he will and that is his right, however the best thing he could do would be to set up shop in the U.S. and produce knives in the states. I think he would find quite a bit of good will among shcrade fans and if the quality was there quite a few customers. I know that it it really chaps me to see a schrade that is made "offshore" and regardless of quality i'm not buying. just my .02

New Schrades are junk!Support our few remaining U.S. makers or they will soon be gone also.
