Scored again Big Time...

Spike 116, I'm not sure if your just meaning his ? But yes, they do, three of the model # I posted earlier have them . DM

Thanks Dave, we had this discussion awhile back in the Workman measuring tape holder thread. The 800s with the serrated blade have become my new holy grail so to speak, and I thuoght that maybe ITE discovered some in his Buck Ark of the Covenant of knives. If any of you Buck Brothers come across any please let me know. Thanks guys.

Spike, I sort of thought those other Buck Work-Man models were what you were after as I remembered you collect those . Interesting info. about those and brings a new demension/ knowledge to a collector . DM

The 800's you don't have of the Buck Work-Man series . There are very few Buck models that have one model # and were offered under two names . These and the 121 Fisherman come to mind . DM

Dave, luckily I do have all of the 800's in the Work-Man series, just none with the elusive serrated blade. The funny thing is even the ones I own from 88 which were listed as Guildmasters, they still have the Work-man etch. The only exception is a 811 and the 88 813 which I am carrying today which have no etch.
The 813 I have on me today is one I customized and made into a two blade. The rocker on the screwdriver was shot so removed that blade, the spacer, cut a locking notch in the hawkbill blade(what was left of it) and cut a nail notch on the other side of the spear point blade. I repinned it and now have a great beater with a locking hawkbill blade. Sorry I took this thread in a different direction, my apologies to ITE you lucky such and such.

Spike, Even the 1988 made models have Buck Work-Man on the blades . You don't say . Very interesting . This is the sort of info. for those that collect that model should be interested in . Thank 116 . DM

Spike116 I have two 812's from1988, and neither one has workman on the blade. One is a beater that
I carry at times, the second is locked in a safe that even if I gave you the combination to it, you would not get in with out the key. It is a TL rated safe. HL

Armand...Since it was a Buck employee you likely have more than a few odd/rare/1of1 Bucks...You really did GOOD! Who needs drugs for a great high..Bag BOXES OF BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
