Scottish Clan question: Does a male marry into a scottish clan?

There should be a clan website at this point in time. just type in the surname and you should be able to find it. There will be much information on the site including contact info. If its clan McCrey I can help you.

If necessary, I can help out with Clan Hamilton ... and maybe a few others (looser connection).

Like they say -- if the Chief accepts you, you're in.

A kilt is very comfortable, cool on a hot day and warm on a cold day. A visit to the washroom is much faster. I recommend that everyone should try it at least once, and you can wear a knife in your 'hose' legally.

Me and the missus on our wedding day in June 1998.

nice legs Andrew :D

We shoulda kilt this thread a year ago.

What's the proper tartan for the Clan Litvak?
Something blue and white ...

Mutt, remember to sing the traditional song:

I just down from the Isle of Skye
I'm no very big but I'm awful shy
All the lassies shout as I walk by,
"Donald, Where's Your Troosers?"

Let the wind blow high and the wind blow low
Through the streets in my kilt I go
All the lassies cry, "Hello!
Donald, where's your troosers?"

I went to a fancy ball
It was slippery in the hall
I was afeared that I may fall
Because I nay had on troosers

I went down to London town
To have a little fun in the underground
All the Ladies turned their heads around, saying,
"Donald, where's your troosers?"

The lassies love me every one
But they must catch me if they can
You canna put the breeks on a highland man, saying,
"Donald, where's your troosers?"

I've not read all the replies but when my mum (a Macdonald) married my Dad, he became an honourary Macdonald, and also qualified to instill in his son a love of fine single malts. :D
At my mates wedding north of the border a few years ago most men wore kilts. The happy couple cut the cake with a claymore, which they still have hanging in their house.
