I noticed that we do not have a thread dedicated to Scout knives....I KNOW RIGHT! So let's see if there are some more like minded people out there with some pictures to share. Share with us your scout type knives people and let's get this ball rolling.

Obviously I will start off. Although it's not the best picture.

How spooky! I had my scout knives out for an oil last night.Pic to follow in the morning.:p

"Scout Knife"? Only if it is an official Boy Scout or Girl Scout knife I say. Otherwise it is a "Camp Utility Knife". Picky I know, but BSA sued Camillus over the distinction and won, a bit of trivia now for the most part forgotten. In compliance with the court order, they even took a razor blade to their ad cuts in their archives removing "Scout" insignia and nomenclature.

Here is a Schrade camp utility knife SFO made exclusively for Sears with an added blade, a saw which really works. I don't see too many five bladed camp utility knives.

Thanks for this. I actually appreciate these little tidbits of information. Vary interesting indeed. :D
Although (as leghog points out) it will forever be referred to as a scout knife in my book as well. After all, a knife in a scouts hand must be a "scouts knife" hehe

The good old GI sewing kit. I've carried one around the world in my ditty bag for three decades now. Those things are still sold in the Military Clothing Sales Stores. They're 18 bucks now!

My first ever pocket knife and my only scout, an Ulster from around 1960. Still used every week.

The only Official Boy Scouts of America knives are the 3 in the 1st photo and the Cub Scout knife in the 2nd photo.

My two favorites - Red Alox Farmer and a Copper Alox Lumberjack.

Funny thing, the OD paracord on my Farmer is older than the knife. I have a small amount leftover from my days in the Army. Bought a spool around '96-'97 and used it to dummy-cord all my gear.

This old Kabar belonged to my grandpa. It's the only Scout pattern I have that is not a SAK. I love the knife, but find it a little thick and heavy for regular carry. It does get used as a utility knife around the house though.
