if it had been choiless, that would have been a spectacular design. (still is, but not enough to kick me one more step into debt )

I was thinking the same, I may mod one of mine, remove the handle, remove enough of the tang so the blade will end up right at the res-c, drill a new lanyard hole in the tang, fill the handle with water catalyzed polyurethane ( to fill in possible voids) then reattach new tube fastener, no more choil, completely voids the warranty, but it is doable

.155-.180 thick with a very smal choil (Fallkniven F1) and I'd be all over this knife......

Ha! You can't win. If it were choil-less we'd probably have a bunch of people saying it's just a little off from ideal. I have a Muk! on the way so the temptation factor is greatly reduced. The thickness is fine (I still love obscenely thick blades) but I agree it would have been an amazing bushcraft model without the choil. Then again I already have a whole bunch of great knives that would fit that description. I know I will regret not getting this one a while down the road, but it's not in the budget right now.

Looks like a great knife. About the same thickness of a boss jack but half the weight. Yes it is one inch shorter. I like the lack of the typical thumb ramp and the simple handle shape looks easy to grip in different positions. The single quillion looks to be a benefit also. The look of the choil is also an improvement. There is plenty of blade not to need the edge right up against your index finger. It has been said it looks like a kitchen knife. I hope it is as handy as that favorite kitchen knife you always look for first. Satin INFI convex edge less than $200, I'll take 2 and I did.
