Scrap Yard Scrapper 6 Video Destruction Test Completed

I predict that INFI will do 8-15% better than SR-77 across the boards. Edge retention may favor the INFI, while ultimate toughness may be similar with the BM getting the nod.

Noss, interesting video, but I also had problems.

anyway, I noticed that you were getting a little frustrated while wacking the handle of the scrapper. I would have been worried abut going ful force like that and I am as surprised as you that it survived that severe a whacking

Nice!!!!!
Can't wait for cold steel trailhawk.
What kind of testing on cold steel tomahawk?
I mean tomahawk is not a knife, Different testing?
Some advance:D

Thanks noss4

Spinnerblade: Glad you got the videos to work. The vice I use is about 50 plus years old it use to be used in a metal forge. It is super tough and has taking a serious beating over the years. The FBM may finally do it it in. :D

Cobalt: You tube seems to be having problem. The videos are slow to load sometimes.
The scrapper 6 to a beating to the handle tang/blade. I gave it everything had. It bent slightly showing it is super tough and completely resistant to failure. I love tough knives and I love the Scrapper 6 now that I have seen what everyone has talked about.

kurodrago: On the trial hawk I'm going to do a field test first use it hard in the woods. Then I'll bring it back home and put it through some very had tasks.
It should be a lot fun. I did some chopping with it in the shop. It's nice the handle is nice and long so you can use both hands if needed. You can get a lot of chopping power out of it.

I was impressed, especially the hammer part! Even the handle was tougher than I expected.

My prediction is that SR-77 will prove tougher. I think INFI is a more well rounded steel, but I think SR-77 might be the toughest blade steel in existance. We'll see!

dante: Yea it was very, very tough and strong. It was fun..The R-c handles are very durable a a lot of these synthetic materials are tougher then some people think. They can be more durable then the knife themselves.

Thanks

Nice work Noss - you did a heck of a job. Not that I ever doubted the toughness of my Scrappers - but it sure was great to see you put one through its paces!!

Tyrkon Lawson: I'm Not sure at this point how it will come. It's whatever I'm sent by Busse. It was supposed to be the combat grade corrugated version but this was 10 months ago. I just don't know.

diceman: Thanks bro.. You told me they were tough..You were 200 percent correct.

Jericho941Gibson: Your welcome

snook: two weeks....You must know something I don't.:D

macgregor22: Welcome to the forum..Stick around it's a great place.
See you there friend.

Bax Axe: I hope to get to a ranger soon. It is at the top of my list of to do knives.

I have always heard good reviews of scrapyard knives. I am absolutely astounded at how tough the knife was over all, especially the handle material.

Always enjoy your work. I think I might cry when you destroy the Busse BM.

Why not put a thick bladed HI product under the rigors of such a test? A 1/2 inch piece of metal might resist more of the 'desquamation' of steel that would ensue following a bout with a three pound striking apparatus.
