I think we have been seeing too many meticulously oiled, satin hand-rubbed blades around these parts. I am guilty of this as well.

So, until the end of the year, show me your most beat up, scratched up, well-used, bent, broken, patinated, no good fishknife of a Fiddleback. Out of all the entries, I will pick the ugliest or coolest one, and the winner will get a free sharpening. If you don't want a sharpening, I will send you something as ugly as your knife. What's to lose?

Let's see em... :D

Ok, I'll play later today or this evening. My oldest daughter now has my old Woodsman and Bushboot, but I still have my "beater" 3/16 Recluse and my Handyman has seen some hard use teaching small knife techniques.

Did I win?

Hahahaha! I think I damaged the tip of this one just a bit. It's been on my porch railing for a few years now, waiting for your offer. Ooops...it's not a Fiddleback. I'm disqualified.

Clearly this thread needs some Fiddleback pics... :)

If I hadn't let my daughter have it, my old Woodsman would be my entry...

As it stands right now, I think my Lonestar is showing the most use, because O-1 shows use more easily than A2...

My mother in law will put you guys to shame.

Really gives meaning to kitchen tool

But hey, it's blade down so we're making progress... Nothing like reaching over the sink and realizing the 12 inch chef's knife is in with the utensils blade up.

Sorry I removed the pic, didn't realize this was in the Fiddleback forum

While all of my Fiddlebacks get used, some get used more than others.

This Bushboot is definitely the most used, it is also my first Fiddleback.

This Nessmuk gives it a run for its money though. However, being A2 it stains much slower.

are you wanting actual scratched blades or just patina'd?

i have some scotch brite pads to remove this patina( Don't do this at home)

Come on Bmurray, this one looks new...

Can you eat the flowers or the bugs? I need to know if you did.

Yeah, your mother in law drives me crazy. That Chicago Cutlery piece looks pretty smooth though.

If you scratch it up just for fun then you are one bad@$$ M*%$%@@*#* no doubt about it.

This one is a good candidate for most beautiful BC. I think if you baton it through some oak you could be a winner.
