Sebenza 21 and Magnacut?

Does anybody know if CRK will retrofit a Magnacut blade onto a Sebenza 21?

I had read a rumor that they made a batch of Magnacut 21 blades but as far as I know it was just speculation. The chances of them making one on request or modifying a 31 blade for a 21 though are about zero.

Im sure I read a post here lately that someone had reached out about it and was told that they will eventually do a run of 21 blades in Magnacut.

Yes. There will be a batch of MC blades for the 21, but the time frame is indefinite. About nine months is what I was told a couple of weeks ago.

No, they were discontinued prior to magnacut.

I just checked in with CRK myself to see if they are going to be making left handed 21 blades as well. They are! It's awesome that they are supporting the older knives--my S30V lefty is from 2009.

When you make a knife that lasts forever, it's nice to know they stand behind them even when they do design changes.

Yeah, I heard Tim reeve say in a video somewhere that the 21 was their most produced knife, so it made sense to offer the upgrade. I'm paraphrasing but that's the gist.

Received this response from CRK today:

Thank you for reaching out. We do plan to make a blade for the 21's in Magnacut but as for a date when that will happen I don't have that information yet. Please feel free to check back with us in about 6 months. The cost for a blade is $150.00 and it takes 6-9 months to get a blade through production at which point we would reach out to you to send your knife in to have the blade fit to it.

Received this response from CRK today:

Six to nine months for a blade. Insane. I remember in 2019 I sent an insingo in to get fit with a drop point without notice and got it back in about three weeks.

I'm delighted that this is hahappeng. Maybe I'm desensitized, but $150 seems like a great deal. I can easily spend that much on lanyards and screws. Hell, you could run up bigger tab than that buying damn hats and coasters from CRK. Stickers, man.

I was thinking the same thing. I actually just spent 80 bucks on a few spacers and screws ( Im a spare parts guy) for 2 new knives. 150 to upgrade will stop me from selling and upgrading. Ill just place orders and send them when ready.
