Sebenza Faults

"About the post in the General Forum.... I'd have to file that under "who gives a sh*t". Life is too short to worry about petty crap like that."

Where on earth have you seen posts about a sebenza being "dented" I have never dented mine nor heard of that before. I have heard of scratches on the handles before but they are more like area's where the bead blast finish is rubbed and either smoothes up or picks up color from another soft material- I have had some of my keys in brass leave different colors. I mean it does scratch extremely lightly and yes the first time it happens it will bother the new owner but it would take something fairly substatial to "gouge" the material. I am rough on mine and have one that has been used and abused daily for several years and it is not "beat up" . It is also not "difficult" to deploy.. it is different maybe as you learn to "sweep" the blade open and no it is not designed for speed of light opening.

I hope you find the knife you are looking for- there are plenty out there and lots of good people and threads too....

As to where I heard that sbenza handles dent, there was a thread earlier entitled "what don't you like about your sbenza" that Brownshoe was summarizing at the beginning of this thread. Rather than just rely on the summary, I went back to read the positive and negative comments for sbenza to help me make my decision. I acknowledge that there are plenty of good knives and good people on this forum. Many of them, such as Buzzbait, are on this thread. As to hurt feelings, if I have them, I have them. My goal will be to learn as much as I can about quality folders and contribute when I can without flaming or ad hominem attacks. I bear noone ill will on this forum and hope noone bears me any either.

btw, I am going to take V1s advice and see if I can handle all three knives before ordering. I may just go for a mini-grip and small sebbie.

No you aren't brownshoes- well maybe we don't know yet but the moderators can tell- well that does depend if you have access to multiple acounts... YES your identity has been trolled and not just by brownshoes but by BROWNSHOE Your reference to unintentional openings have been addressed by a very large percentage of the people involved with fair reason and you find it unacceptable just as you refuse to accept CRK's answers. People who are active can not even with securing any knife whether being a folder or fixed blade be 100% sure of never having a safety issue. You ignore anyone's questions that challenge you and keep chanting your chant and taunts... According to your comment about being brought to new levels of humility I agree with the definition other than the unpretentious... 3-a and b after looking up humble at http://www.m-w.com/

"3 a : ranking low in a hierarchy or scale : INSIGNIFICANT, UNPRETENTIOUS b : not costly or luxurious <a humble contraption

A truly humble person would knock someone elses choice to have costly things...
Questions are not the problem nor is disagreeing. You claim to be fair and unbiased- "just trying to help" and all that but as it has been said there are issues between you and CRK- we may never know what they are but they are in your posts if a search is done... Bottom line is if you don't like it don't buy it.....

OH and BTW No the attitude does not come with the knife. Some people get off the cash and pay for it. Now that attitude and behavior has some design flaws and occasionally flys off the handle with some ,though not a statistically significant number but some that are loud enough to make the number seem hi and they won't answer questions to the design.....and on and on....

I made an earlier post about not caring that my Sebenza is "tip up" because I bought it for miltary duty and cary it in a sheath (anything loose or clipped to your pocket will eventually end up lost). I should have also explained that I have carried my Sebenza in my trousers pocket (right, next to the seam) which ensures the blade will not open up, and I also carry a BM AFCK (tip down) which also never opens up in my pocket because it is tip down. I would never carry "any" knife in my open pocketed BDU's for fear of loss. I have carried the Spyderco Military, BM AFCK, and the Sebenza for military uses and find the Sebenza the winner, for me.

Someone above mentioned their Spyderco Military was a better cutter than the Sebenza because it is flat ground. I have cut with both and found just the opposite. The Sebenza cut both hard and soft materials with ease. Also, I didn't trust the G10 handles without liners on the Military to be as strong as the titanium slabs on the Sebenza. I didn't feel I could put as much pressure on them, they felt like they torqued in my hand too much.
