Second Chance Offers--Beware.

To eliminate some of the confussion of who's who on the Bay - several years ago I started a thread here to list your eBay ID. I know that thread should still be in the archives. If you are a regular user of eBay, either seller ort buyer, list your ID so others here will know who you are. Granted, with eBay hiding the buyer's ID we don't know always kow who we are bidding against, but we WILL have an idea if the seller is one of us.

You'll never see or hear me, Dave. I am the black stealth sniper-whisper-bidder-copter.

I get the feeling that more than a few are going higher as a general rule.

Yes, you can get some real good bargains if you work at it, but most don't work as hard as we do, don't know the game like we do.......and most don't have the time to put in like we do.

All in all, though......I think Buck prices continue to creep upward. I'm glad I've been buying for the past couple of years in this period when prices have been fairly good due to the economy being slow.

That time may be running out.

As I recall from a mod's past chastisement here, that is against BF rules.

howdy tin.. i also recall that Mod's have said it is not right to arrange
bidding on things
it is not fair to the seller to arrange a i get this one and you bid on that one... and i agree with this whole heartily
but i am 110 dave here and some dont know who i am is on ebay
just us old timers ;)...
this is what i think he is referring to now
to know who here is who on ebay as a seller
to bad i dont sell my knives on the bay...
other wise i would say who i was once pond time ...
it would give me a secure feeling to know i was bidding on some thing you were selling if your handle there was not tin sue
or any of the other buck forum buddies...
dang all the dang new bies i jest dont knwo who is who any more
seems plummer dave was the last newbie i knows well
most times i have a sip of this here new shed juce
and i dont recall who is who...
all these dang newbies need to post more so i can learn who day is :D

I have never suggested to anyone here that we "arrange" a price or plan on bidding "strategy" for each other's knives. The original post was simply so we would know who was selling... or who was bidding. With Ebay hiding the Buyer ID's now, the idea is kinda mute. But I feel its still nice to know "who" the seller is - if it is someone we are familiar with, then we know it will be a more reputable auction.
