Both sound great, but my vote for which one first would be Nemesis (possibly because I already have a Kris FHM).

Hey Dawkind, that's pretty much what if figured! :D

And thanks Chuck for the great information! I figured the manipulation was the key, just making sure I wasn't on the wrong road with the single-edges.

And as far as these statements go:

a Nemesis done this way wouldn't be a Nemesis.

and

if they do a Nemesis in Tachyon, then I expect them to go back and do the kris in an OTF auto too. It's only fair that way.

That first statement is indisputable, and the second is a VERY good idea that you've just given up for free!!!! ;)

I'd say Nemesis (actually, I just did). Biggest excuse: Esthetics. Methinks a kris is too "organic" looking to match the Tach handles. Not that a kris would look "bad" per se, more that the Nem. would look better.

I'm just dying to have a nemesis bladed tachyon to match my nemesis bladed nemesis;) Hopefully I can even get it black coated :D

Well, both are appealing from a collectors point of view. The kris as a PHM or Benchmade does look more "organic" than the Tachyon handle, and that's fine for the PHM or BM style. Who doesn't like the looks of a Samson kris? And of course there is the sharpening issue, although I'd never use it, so that's a moot point for me. However, with the proper artistic, CNC "tweaking" in the Microtech style, a kris could (read that, no doubt will) look as high tech as the handle. Hmmm, what to do... I'm gonna vote for a Vulcan style blade, and then a Vector/Kestrel style, not that we don't need the kris and Nemesis too, but that picture of the Vulcan on the Triple Aught site is dynamite, and a safe flipper.

Yeah, for me there are BM blade styles (weehawk, scimitar etc) and they have their names, but MT needs to have a whole slough of other blade styles, it's current blade looks awesome, it does need a Nemesis blade and not a kris. Just my opinion.

I tend to agree with you BalisongMan (about the slough of blades in their own style), although I do think they could do justice to a kris as long as they "step outside the envelope" and do it in their style. I remember Clay saying he fancied the Vector blade in a balisong (yes, it will fit with a little tweaking) so there's one more vote for something unique to Microtech. The Nemesis will be fine, but it looks too much like a standard dagger to me. I'm voting kris, and hoping for a high-tech look.

I like the way you think, ...ALMOST! Do the Kris first, the the Nemesis.:D

Needless to say, I voted for the Kris. I have waited so long for one.!

The Kris would have a blood groove in it with a Nemesis flair to it, meaning holes in the groove. Maybe I will call it the Nemekris! I bet that does not have a trademark problem!

Hell, just go ahead and curve-up half the nemesis blade...you get the best of both worlds, and probobly the most unique lookin thing you've ever seen;) :D ;) :D

Wow............

All the whining in the past from everyone about wanting a KRIS blade, and the Nemesis is ahead in the poll.

I can honestly say I never saw THAT coming.

And as for the sharpening issue on the Kris blade........ The Spyderco sharpmaker works pretty well on that wide curvy pattern. I've gotten one of my Kris bladed FHMs smokin' sharp with it.

A picture or prototype of the kris (or hanging chads) might have changed the vote, maybe even dramatically. There are, of course, numerous pictures of a Nemesis, making it a known commodity, which may have given it an edge--or two (sorry). When Forumites finally see a kris made by CNC, my bet is they'll be very pleased. Next time. Now a slight flame shape to the Nemesis might make it even more desirable...

Remember, this is a Florida election ;)

That's true, and a Butterfly Knife [Similarity to the Ballot] Hmm... The end result will be a Sheepsfoot Blade. :D

As much as I admire a nice kriss blade, I went with the Nemesis on this project. I guess simply because with the money invested, I want to get all the use I can out of it.

I do like the suggestion of doing both blades over a period of time.:D

Best regards,
