Do you guys have spots that you keep to yourselves? Unspoiled places that you prefer not to show? I certainly do.

UHHHH....maybe....why do you want to know? ;) Chris

Not surprising coming from a fisherman;)

But when it comes to fishing holes; yeah I have a few that I don't share. Not so much hiking spots though. Its hard enough to find people who share the same interests as me where I am, let along the same days off.

Runningboar. That place ,looks just like a spot that I visit a lot. And the canoe. Is that an Old Town?

Chis, that first pic, with the log jamming all the slime. Looks like topwater heaven.

Couple more, never seen another soul on this river, most people don't even know it exists. The canoe is We No Nah Prospector, I love this boat. :D

My son in his long hair phase, very glad that's over.

That pic is actually not the same place as the others, caught a whole lot of fish and killed a lot of hogs and deer in that swamp. I told my wife when I die I want to be cremated and scattered right there. Chris

Chris,

That long hair is a pain in the ass when it comes to heat and ticks...but...hey! Da mountain menz didn't haves no damn barber! :D

I keep mine short for tick elimination, I ain't got no dog in this fight...just sayin'. :D

G'day DB

I sure do.

Here's a couple of pics of my hunting and hiking/camping area. In over 20 years of venturing through this area, I've yet to find any evidence of anyone else having been through here and that's how I want it to stay :D

And here's a pic of a small creek that I keep to myself and the sort of trout it holds :D

This one's mine but please don't ask where. I don't want it spoiled...

I really don't have a spot that I consider to be "mine". I try and enjoy the moment everywhere I go and enjoy each place I go as "mine".

I live in DE. There's not a place that someone in the state hasn't stepped foot.....

I have a few small places I only share with my closest friends and family. A few other folks have discovered them as well, but not many--and the odds of running into them are very slim.

I took this there:

I have a few way down in the swamp.

This hill is in the middle of the swamp. Very few have ever seen it.

On the way there, are thickets of small bamboo.

And several creeks to cross. You have to use your compass to hit the crossings. This is my daughter crossing one of the creeks
last Spring.

I've got a few "secret spots" in and around Ann Arbor. Went to college there, and I've got a handful of secluded spots in the U of M Arboretum that even on busy days I knew I could be alone. I've also got a few favorite places in the woods surrounding the U of M Botanical Gardens.

I'm lucky enough to have access to quite a bit of private property that our family owns all over the state (hopefully some of it will someday be mine), so I'm very spoiled in that way, but I definitely have some favorite spots on that property too.

No pics of any of this at the moment, I'll grab some next time I'm any of these places.

Of course I have a few that my dad passed down to me. Caught quite a few large Catfish in the area.

One other spot that isn't so much as my own, is at my grandmas place, as she lives right on lake Erie and owns a small beach-like area.

yup, family owns all around the lake, and it us pristene to say the least, there is another lake on family proerty, but I neve got any pics befor I moved out west.
