I've gotten some beautiful crisp burr free edges with minimal effort.

The small round features are the vanadium carbides at 1-2um at the apex.

We can look at your edge and see what's going on and cross evaluate your sharpening if you would like.

I should note that I can get a crisp burr free edge, but it just takes more work than most of the other steels that I have from several manufacturers.

I'd love to try it, I just don't like the feel of the lightweight handles

And what people ask for the heavyweight manix 15v I might as well get a custom

And yes I could frankenmanix it into a heavyweight handle but I already have a frankenmaxamanix

Well, that's one of the cool things about it being the year 2025, there is a rich and healthy aftermarket for scales, even for lightweights models.

I've been really liking the applied weapon tech ones.

This is Keno Roskam's personal collection, he swapped all of his 15V knives with applied weapon tech aftermarket scales. It looks gorgeous.

Those are just one of the options. There's a lot of different ones out there. Probably too many for me to list off the top of my head but if you Google search aftermarket manix 2 lightweight scales I'm sure you can find something that suits your preferences and taste.

Here’s some pictures compared to AWT scales for Manix 2 LW. There’s also a company on etsy that makes a compensated back/cage lock for Manix 2 LW so you can use aftermarket scales designed for G10
