When I first viewed Leslie Tomville s 3 pictures: the copperhead raised an eyebrow,the hemlick maiden bewitched me totally and Slush made sick up a bit of breakfast toast which I quickly swallowed back down.

Looks like any other woman I've seen, not dark, mysterious and exotic like hemlock.

...see, two can play these silly games.

Copperhead looks like she belongs with the art gallery crowd....mind you ...knock a couple of teeth out , give her some meth and cigarettes n ya got yerself a carny.

They did us a match strike long pull on our last 86 Forum Knife. I seem to remember voting on bolster finish as well. I haven’t heard anything from anyone in charge about that option being on the table.

I’d love to see a match strike pull on some rich Hemlock handles myself. Tbh, for everyone saying the covers will be monotone and black, I wouldn’t really be unhappy with that, though I don’t think it will be.

A lot of compelling points. I already own two black GECs (86 bladeforums and 93 lambfoot) and wanted something with color this time (red). I almost changed my original vote from Hemlock to Copper, for worry it’d turn out too dark/black, but sticking with Hemlock! Some examples (like the above) are rich and think it’ll look really good with big bolsters. Not coming back until polls are over. See everyone on the other side!

You cannot find one of these, you cannot buy one anywhere else. But all you have to do is say “yes, I want one,” and Barry @gunstockjack will kindly mail it to you. You know you want one. This is your chance! Let’s not miss out on this. There will never be another opportunity like this one.

As far as I can tell the blade in the picture has that Bowie styled clip GEC rarely(?) does. We are offered a different clip, right?
Plus, we are not even sure if can choose between nail nick, long pull, match strike and so on.
By looking at what we have been given to work with it is simply not possible to make a copy and get the knife pictured. Best is, that you will get something that comes close. Worst is, that you will be reminded of that every time you use it.
I'd say we should use the opportunity we have and create something that will be uniquely ours (hemlock) and not just try to copy something we all want but in reality can't have.
