@Pàdruig , Dylan, thanks for the shout out and the good wishes. It was great fun. Congratulations to you and all of your cohorts. But you guys really should lay off the Hemlock juice.

My only disappointment was how poorly Miss Ginger Copperhead was treated by a few misogynistic Porch denizens. She is actually my fiancé and has absolutely no interest in knives. Her feelings were terribly hurt, especially when Brother Jim accused her of being digitally altered, and Unwise Fool said she was not all that pretty. (This is just me joking again Brother Jim and Unwise Fool! I still suggest you should consider changing your name Mr. Fool.)

As for the Hemlock Barlow, it will be a cracker. Let’s hope Bill Howard goes way heavy on the RED and makes that sucker POP. Blood Red was my first preference as well.

Charlie, a world of thanks from me and the Ginger. waynorth waynorth

She sure has my vote LT!

song birds rained down whistles from the heavens, as hundreds of fine men and women cast their vote on that warm day in June. Hell no, we don’t want copperhead! We want hemlock green! The greatest hue of brown money can buy. Experts from factories across the world have weighed in, and it was decided. Hemlock will make for the most luxurious brown boned Barlow this world has ever seen! “Give me two” they cheered, as they danced and laughed around the sad copperhead voters. One thing we all know is true, this beauty of a knife will have everyone rejoicing together as we simultaneously open those faithful tubes of brown green red Barlow wonder.

But I think I could sip a couple of cold beers with Meako, and every other comment he made, I'd be goin ....

One question, maybe I missed the answer in an earlier post, but what about the dots or stars? Isn’t this the 11th year? Would that be no dots, 11 dots, or a change to a unique character (like Buck Knives) or what’s the plan? OH
Thanks Harry
wondering about that too...not asking for a Poll.....where are we up to with the dots......and doonnnnnt blame covid.......what even is the dot system of marking our yearly knife?
(for those who came in late)

The blade tang stamp will have a plain Bladeforums stamp - no dots/stars.
I have mentioned this before, I can't remember where! The year will be in the model number on the pile side of course! Clip blade, crescent pull, brass liners and pins in the handles. "Wow" bolster!! :p

thanks Charlie, is there any rhyme/reason to the brass liners or is that just the GEC standard? I’ve been wondering why they don’t do more nickel silver just to keep all the metal the same color.

So would it be a 86 Barlow that you showed us some time a ago?

The steel is GEC's well tempered 1095 carbon steel!
This 86 Barlow's bolster needs a name!!86 Barlow BLADE FORUMS.jpg
Since the famous Washington Bolster was named after the street where it was "born", and this BF will be born on E. Spring street, maybe it should be called the "Spring" bolster?? What say you??

I think "Spring Street" is more accurate than "Spring".
