I read, on the original interest thread that I missed, the following:

"This is an unofficial count, but will help us immensely to get the show on the road!! You are not ordering at this point!!
Post only if you;
>1 Have been a member for 3 months (since Feb. 1st!!)
AND
>2 Have posted outside of the sales forums at least 25 times!!
> Choose 1 or 2 knives (the limit!!)"

I'm still unclear on the importance of posting within the original interest thread and it seems that some users think this set the number of knives that will be produced. The "unofficial count" statement by Charlie also adds to my confusion.

I apologize for the extra zing in my comments, you just happen to be forum member #500 to ask if you’re eligible… but you’re #1 for asking if you’re eligible while knowing full well that you’re eligible.

This has unfortunately been hashed out many-a-time, but there’s work that goes on behind the curtain that most folks are not privy to. An initial poll for interest and approximate count was taken likely so that Charlie and Bill could talk numbers. It has no bearing on your eligibility, and neither does your participation in these poll threads.

I've read and I've read in this thread, though a few comments I've still missed. We're 75 pages and nearly 1500 comments deep at this point. I read enough to incite fear that there were layers to eligibility and too little to calm that fear.

This isn’t just any old knife… by gum it’s the forum knife and there is a lot at stake here.
Read until you suffer eye strain. Read at night, during your morning jogs, and while you oil your joints. Read until your significant other threatens to throw out your electronics. That's honestly a little funny.

In my defense, there's been a fair amount of misinformation here. For example, in comment 1331, a user posted that the order thread had already been completed. I'm also only really familiar with Charlie and meako, so I was looking for their replies and wasn't clear on your authority on the subject.

From the continued snark, It's clear you're a little testy at this point. I actually think I'll stop reading until the order thread is finally posted. Thanks for the help.

Purpose of this thread is in the title. Brown tone voting for the sawcut bone forum knife. Once that got completed, everything after is just goofing off until the next thread comes along.

Maybe we should have a forum knife question thread. Once a week someone can ask if its too late to order. Another will ask if it will be a buck this year (maybe two questions in one with that). Someone else will be curious about blade shape and material. Then of course there will be the “I vote for (insert new popular wood selection)”. The following week more people can ask those same questions claiming they didnt see those questions ever before. Ad infinitum or at least til the 2022 knife polls start. When people ask questions here, we can just post a link to that thread.
