Self defense Sword

I have afew swords, batons, etc & to be honest, I dont think the self-defence laws & knife laws here are markedly different to the rest of Europe.
IF I use reasonable force to repel a (potentially armed) burglar/intruder etc the courts here would take this into account. Admittedly, society is much more litigious than it once was, and it seems anyone can be sued for anything, but the cases where people are charged for defending their property really are few and far between & hugely exagerated by the tabloid press.
If someone gets into my house, my weapon of choice is probably a 6cell Maglite or possibly my K5 Tomahawk.
Yeah, Id probably have questions to answer, possibly a court appearance, but Id be alive.
I think sometimes Britain is used (unfairly) as an example of somewhere where citizens have NO rights, when there are many European countries & even some US states where weapon laws are almost as prohibitive.
Youre only as free as your government lets you be anyway, just look at New Orleans.
Enjoy your stay in the UK.
