Hey guys just wanted to inform you of some shit that just happened with Met090 or Bryan Cooper. He purchased a large 21 sebenza from me, sent the money on paypal, and I promptly shipped out the knife. The knife was shipped on Wednesday, 8/24/2012, and it should have arrived today. I received an email from paypal saying that the payment has been reversed, as he requested his bank reverse it, and now my paypal account is -280.00. If anyone has any advice on what to do it would be appreciated.

File an immediate complaint with Paypal.
Send buyer a registered letter deamnding payment or return of the knife. If not received in a week via Priority Mial with tracking number, file a theft by mail charge with the USPS. Thats federal.
Send an email to buyer of what you're going to do, no light stuff.

I dont see how people can do that.. You ship and then a chargeback without any type of investigation ?? I do a lot of pay pal transactions and if some fool did that to me I would not be happy. Will keep an eye out to see what goes down here.

2nd on contacting paypal. I've been burned on a Paypal transaction in the past and getting on top of the situation promptly is key. I would file the theft charge immediately too. Sorry to hear about your bad luck and hope it turns out in your favor.

Sorry to hear that I hope you get it worked out. Also 8/24 is today which is Friday not Wednesday.
I trust everyone I have done business with on BF but I never keep a PP balance anyway. As soon as it is posted I transfer it to my bank account. If there is a legitimate beef with the knife I sold, I will make it right but under mutual terms

I say we mount a posse and go find the little duechey poo and pay him a visit! Then if it doesnt get resolved we can go native on his ass, and put his head on a stick like in lord of the flies. Intimidation works wonders. This is exactly why the admin needs to ban peoe who do crap like this,or at least ban them from buy,sell etc, take away his gold membership and send his thieving ass packing, there are a ton of awesome folks here that would and will do the right thing no questions asked, but because of ass hats like this it makes newcomers not want to do business in the exchange, i have gotten some killer deals on steel from people on here i hope this doesn't comeback to bite everyone else in the ass.

As far as PayPal is concerned,you got lucky. I have had nothing but bad results with them the few times I had issues.
It's sad that on a forum where I felt relatively "safe" in all my purchases there still are lowlife scammers out there.

Lol, I am I must say I am glad to see that this board takes up for their members. I will explain. I had forgotton to update my paypal with new checking information. I had to change bank account due to someone stealing my account number and making withdraws, it has been a mess likethis for over month. I was not notified until he contacted paypal and I received an email. Bobmellon now has my direct contact information- pm this morning. Thanks for the link to the thread Revdevil.
