This is the timeline of events of an eBay transaction:

Sep29: knox1201 won the bid to buy my CRK Umnumzaan for $350 plus $15 shipping&insurance.
Oct03: after no communication for 4 days, knox1201 sent me a echeck payment on PayPal for $325.00 ($40 short).
Following days: I sent knox1201 several emails about the remaining $40, with no replies.
Oct05: the payment was cancelled.
Oct06: knox1201 sent me an email (after i emailed them) telling me everything would be solved that day and that the bank had made a mess.
Oct08: after no communication or payment, I emailed them complaining.
Oct08: knox1201 emailed me telling me his/her mom had a heart attack but the payment would be made that day.
Oct09: no payment, so I reported the case to eBay.
Oct10: knox1201 sends me an email complaining about my "aggressive" emails.

Now, there may be a slight possibility that someone's mom actually had a heart attack and in this case I wish her nothing but the best. But
the lack of communication and follow through is unforgivable.

There are two people under this account, Kristie Knox and Denton Knox, from Fairmount, GA, 30139. I'd advise anybody not to do business
with this individuals, either on eBay or in any knife forums.

Do not make buy offers like this.

It is not fair to the folks who pay to keep this site open.

If you are correct stating that eBay user knox1201 is Kristie Knox and Denton Knox, then you may be interested in knowing that Denton is Hkk here on bladeforums.

The crummy thing about ebay now, I havent used it in years until recently, you cant leave neg feedback if you never received the payment. Isnt that the point of feedback?

Maybe its Amanda Knox, and she is too busy enjoying her new found freedom, wait, she used a kitchen knife

I think seller can use non payment bid and eventually the irresponsible buyer will be banned or deregistered.

Maybe you should tell everybody your story. More people should know about this guy, specially since he's so active in this forum.

Here is my experience in dealing with Hkk. Purchased an Emerson from Hkk here on BF. Wrong knife was shipped to me so I returned it on my dime. A few days later Hkk received the incorrect knife and shipped me the correct Emerson. As soon as I received the knife I examined it and realized that it had so much vertical blade play that (when locked open) you could moved the blade and hear an audible click due to a gap between the rear of the blade and the stop pin.

That evening I contacted Hkk via email and made him aware of the issue and reminded him that I specifically asked him if there was any blade play before I purchased it and was told it locked up solid. At this point he apologized profusely and agreed to refund my money. We then agreed that he would issue a PayPal refund and I would return the knife to him. I mailed the knife the following day but Hkk did not issue the refund. Countless emails were exchanged and I heard every excuse in the book. First I was told he had issued a refund through PayPal ... when it never showed up in my account I contacted PP and was told he had never issue a refund. When I contacted him about that he said he would overnight it to me ... never received the check. Then I was told they had just both lost their jobs, then Denton had been in a bad auto accident, on and on. I finally got tired of all the runaround and issued a complaint to PayPal. They got involved and on their third attempt to get the funds from Hkk I finally received my refund ... after 2 months! Very frustrating experience.

I notice a pattern here. Excuses, excuses, bank had an issue, mom had a heart attack, car accidents, lost their jobs, etc...
