I started a transaction with skikuczynski, who wanted me to ship my item to a unconfirmed address after paying with PayPal. I informed him that I will not ship to a unconfirmed address and advised him to contact me. Bryan did through a blocked phone # that went straight to my voice mail and advised me to page him which I did and received no call back. Moments later Bryan emailed me back requesting a next day air shipment of the item.

I refunded Bryan's account in full for the Item and have had no replies.

He may be legit.

*skikuczynski seems to be proving my suspicions wrong. We are currently working on a solution.

The name on the email I revived was also not in line with Bryan's name. That name is MICHAEL KUCZYNSKI using a hot mail account.

He may be legit but I find it doubtful.

If I can ask, what is an unconfirmed address and how did you know? I'm assuing that this potentially is some sort of scam where you ship the item and then he gets his money back through paypal?

Good for both of you. Go by the book, make sure you understand each other, communication is everything. I hope it does work out.

An unconfirmed address when paying with paypal, is one other than is registered and confirmed to be the same as who's name and address the paypal account is in that pays the fee.

I would like to apologize to Bryan at this time for being so leery, sorry Bryan.

Sale pending.

Thanks jill.

I thought an unconfirmed address was when you did not have a bank account attached to your paypal and functioned by means of credit card only.

Thanks for clearing up my confusion, I never really gave it much thought because I do not find not having access to your bank thru paypal not unusual.

Whew...............I am lucky I did not get burned about that misconception

Shipping to a Buyer’s Confirmed Address
An address is confirmed if the buyer’s credit card billing address matches his or her shipping address. In some instances, PayPal can also confirm an address by examining the buyer’s PayPal account history.

The Purpose of a Confirmed Address
Although the vast majority of unconfirmed addresses are not fraudulent, PayPal offers confirmed addresses as an additional layer of fraud protection. Confirmed addresses help guard against stolen credit cards and identity theft and decrease your chances of receiving a chargeback. However, it is important to note that you can still receive a chargeback for reasons unrelated to fraud.

Shipping to an Unconfirmed Address
Most unconfirmed addresses are not fraudulent and sellers don’t usually experience problems shipping to them. When you do ship to an unconfirmed address, PayPal encourages you to be alert to your buyer and minimize risk by following our Protection Tips for Sellers.

How a Buyer Can Confirm an Address
Inform your buyer on how to confirm his or her address, by communicating the following options:

1. Add a credit card to your PayPal account. PayPal will confirm the credit card billing address (i.e., the address where you receive your credit card statement).
2. Apply for PayPal Buyer Credit. If you’re approved, the address on your application will be a Confirmed Address.
3. Alternate address confirmation. This process takes several days and is only available for U.S. accounts. To learn more, log in to your PayPal account and visit the Alternate Address Confirmation page.

According my experiences with un/corfirmed addresses - this seems is any issue about non US users of Paypal.
Since I have confirmed address when I log into my PayPal account, when I pay there is "uncorfirmed" notice on my PayPal invoice I use to get on my email address.

Paypal does not confirm international addresses in most countries according to Paypal's information.

I have shipped many knives to countries outside of the US and most are not confirmed addresses, so I did a little digging and found this info in their literature.
