Who makes me really glad I don't discriminate against newbies in my dealings! I've had 2 really smooth transactions with Ryan, he communicates clearly and politely, pays promptly, lets me know when he gets the knife. What more could I ask for?

Well, he does even more than that. I sold him a third knife, one with some history to me. As soon as he committed to it, I realized I'd made a mistake. He paid, I boxed it, he asked me to wait a day to ship it, as he was traveling. That gave me time to think about it even more. I decided to wrote him a nice message asking if I could return his money and keep the knife. He had every right to say No, and I'd have shipped his knife, but he didn't. He wrote me back a really nice response saying that would be fine, he understood, and would like a chance at the knife if I decide later to let it go.

Courtesy and decency above and beyond, IMHO!

^Awesome post- thank you for sharing this, LW! Senor Ryan, sounds like he's a great asset to this place.

I think that we all can relate to what it's like, having a brand new member with 4 posts & zero feedback, claiming your valuable knife. There's a risk involved in every transaction- be it a new, or long time member. Thankfully, most people here are very honest, trustworthy people to deal with.

And I sure in the heck know that regrettable feeling (as I've packaged a few knives up), you sometimes feel, wishing that you hadn't just sold one of your favorite knives! :(

I could not agree more regarding SenorRyan. Excellent addition to Blade Forums. When we interacted, I had no clue he was new to the forum & frankly why should I? Old or new to Blade Forums...read the rules, treat the forum & it's members with respect. Act with common sense. It's not rocket science.

Thanks guys for the wonderful comments. I truly appreciate it. I just try to treat others, the way I'd like to be treated....a simple rule of life.

Luckily, the sellers I've dealt with thus far - such as LW and 10after10 - have been more than excellent. They make it too easy to spend more money! :)

If everyone felt this way the world would be a better place!

This is so awesome.

We were were all newbies on this forum at one time - reason why I give everyone a chance (unless their name appears under this forum with negative feedback).

Thanks for sharing your experience LW and happy Friday!

Very cool when a legitimate "Good" shows up in the GBU. But for some strange reason, I doubt this thread will reach 10 pages of random opinions why we should only believe the buyer, the seller, both, or neither. :D

FWIW, I really want to be a customer of Lone_Wolfe. I spend a lot of time drooling over your CRK pics. Maybe when I get my daughter's upcoming wedding paid off (Like that'll happen any time soon...the money drain started almost a year before the Sep date), I'll finally be able to search out that dream CRK.

Thanks again for the kind words ladies and gents, especially to LW - she's complete class.

Just doing my part to be a good member of this wonderful forum.

Cheers!
