Bought a knife from an individual in the Exchange, Production Knives forum. Didn't mail the poor guy his USPS MO till a week later (my bad) so I tossed in an extra $5 cuz I felt guilty. Mailed it via certified mail 15 days ago, but haven't heard from him. I figure maybe he's on vacation or something. Any suggestions on what to do?

You can trace the M/O to see if it has been cashed yet. Take your recepit to the P/O and they can trace the M/O to see. If it has and you havn't received any product in return you can contact the Postal Inspectors to try and find out whats going on. Hope all turns out well.

Thanks... I'll take the receipt down to the PO tomorrow & find out if the MO was cashed. What has me wondering a bit is my inability to get confirmation from the seller that the package was sent. I'm in no position to point fingers cuz I've been late sending payments before. Maybe its just karma... but I still kinda wanna know the status.

It's a rough call because as you say he have gone on vacation in the interim -- it is that time of year.

When I click on an avatar it shows me the last time they were active on the forum. I was unaware that non-paying members don't have that function. Perhaps you could e-mail a mod with the seller's forum name and nicely ask them to check for you.

Just got back from the Post Office & they said it has not been cashed. This may just be a cast of lost-in-the-mail. Sent the seller another email asking if he has received the MO. If its lost, I assume they can cancel it & issue another. Thanks for the help, you guyz....

It's sure nice to have one of these situations work out. There have been so many negative threads in GB&U recently that a happy ending is refreshing.
