Congratulations! I've loved every minute of retirement. EnjoyI finally succumbed, one on order! 15 left, and going fast, as I type...
This was kind of a personal test for myself, that I failed. I am trying to curb my knife habit. I really wanted this knife. I submitted my resignation for retirement with my employer last week. I figure I am going to have to curb my frivolous spending as I stop working.
On the other hand - I am officially employed (and receiving paychecks) until January 31, 2023. (Due to vacation and holidays, my last day of work will be mid-December.) Plus, knives aren't frivolous - are they?
not retired...not sure I'll get to......that statement is as political as I'll get.......Vaporstang congratulations! I retired in January 2017. I don’t miss the high pressure and 70 hour weeks. I do miss the good people i worked with and the few bosses i actually liked and respected.
Took awhile to get used to waking up (still early) and having no where to go. After a year off i worked 2 years at lowes part time (lawn and garden) and that finally did it for me. Lowes during covid was a mother trucker!
As far as collecting yes i had to rain in the spending. I used to collect old Guns then toned it down to less expensive modern rifles and pistols and then switched and concentrated on knives as apples to apples they are less expensive than guns.
My real weakness is watches. I will eventually have to deal with that demon sooner than later.View attachment 1942950
