SERE 2000, What's the story?

My SERE locks up tight and passes the spine whack test just fine. I had heard of some problems with the linerlock here on the forums, so I made sure to get mine from a brick and mortar store so I could be sure of the lock-up before laying down the $$$.
I really like carrying it!

I'll chime in with another favorable opinion of the SERE 2000. However, I might be the only one who LIKES the thumb studs the way they are (unless I got a new design or something). Sturdy lockup, passes the spine whack test (and every other test I throw at it), and feels great in the hand.

A little heavy for my every day carry, but hiking or backpacking, it's my first choice.
