Serious Cooking Fanatics?

I'll look for it at the PO today. Along with other stuff I haven't reported in on yet...

I shipped it today. I may have goofed though. It's on it's way to the midwest. I hope it's going to the right place.
BTW, I love this blade. I will certainly be getting one some day soon. It fits me really well.

midwest?
did you accidentally send it back to me?
if yes, hopefully you at least kept the soap. :D

Karen has the soap. I'm not sure she's tried it yet, she's been really busy. I'll ask her about it tonight. She loved the smell and the idea of it.
No, I sent it to Bryan. That's the address John gave me. Oh well, it will be well traveled when it's done.

I knew Wade was on vacation, so it went to Bryan, it will go to Wade next after Bryan.

Thanks. I was not all here so I thought perhaps I had screwed up.
Bryan, it will require a signature, that's the only way the post office gave me the insurance for it. It should be there tomorrow.

Enjoy it. It's a heck of a blade.

Spent a few days with the knife and thought I'd share, unfortunately we are staying with my in laws at the moment while I renovate our back door/attic entry for increased living space, but enough of that, on with the show.

First let me say, this thing feels phenomenal in my hand, I prefer it to my classic Shun santoku which is what I used when I was a chef. The JK is heavier, yet smaller, but I liked that about it, it begged for meat; I obliged with a pork tenderloin and diced it up for my 1 year old twin girls.

I wanted to see how thin of a slice I could manage, it did great!

Next up, dicing onions... No sweat. Again, very comfortable in the pinch grip I prefer.

Now to see how it handled the delicate over ripe cherry I found in the back of the fridge!

Perfect!

You really did a nice job John, I prefer a big blade in the kitchen even for smaller tasks and this felt big while handling like a smaller knife.

Nice Bryan! Thanks for the pictures and review -

best

Great pics. It certainly is a great slicer. I loved the way it went through all types of food. It seems to take a really fine edge too.

Ok. I'll be on the lookout. We lost a lot of communication at work this week with the "Carlton Complex Fire" burning through a major fiber optic line down in the Brewster, WA area so I've been working a lot of OT as we put on extra staff to get things done as we use slower methods to do what we need to do at work. Saturday, I really thought someone at work had died from the somber expressions on everyone's faces as they sat around the work area waiting for the next bit of work to come up. Then I noticed all the computer screens were blank…. Now we have to talk to each other, and our "customers". Imagine that!!!

I've been using this for the last few days and I really like it. I'll have to post my little review later but this is a seriously nice knife. Who's next?

Ok, I'll try to get it posted out tomorrow, otherwise it will be at least Friday. Will also try to get my review up tomorrow too.
