tony, will you adopt me?

So, since starting this thread in late September, I am now the owner of 4 ESEE knives.

Started with the Izula and the ESEE-4 I guess around 3 weeks ago. Then, I bought a 3MIL...got that this past Monday. Well, my ESEE-6 arrived today. Yet another impressive knife. The 5 is up next...don't know when...may have to wait towards Xmas for it, but it's on the list for sure.

Addiction ain't even the word. Good stuff ESEE, you win...you've beaten me, more in the future soon. Thanks for the great knives.

what is the best way to start a knife

I say start with the ESEE3, OD, orange G10 handle. Its a great all around knife capable of many thing both big and small. Progress from there, to say the ESEE4 or the Junglas, depending on your tastes. But remember, YOU WILL NOT JUST BUY ONE ESEE KNIFE, YOU WILL BUY MORE. So if you're thinking, I'll start here or I'll just buy this, you are wrong. Moose

push the primer bulb 10 times, then hold down the starting handle and pull the cord.

:D

OMFG, I popped something in my back.:D

I just read the part of one cutting oneself and something in the coating making one addicted. What the hell did you do? See the coating in the raw, check if anyone was looking, and dip your finger in and take a taster like a kid with melted chocolate? lol.

Ok....thats probably what I did....

I love how open everyone is about their addiction ;P

I didn't read this whole thread but I will make a comment...if somebody already said it, then I apologize.

I think there is just something very attractive about the excellent shape, the handle fit and finish (material too), and maybe most importantly, the perfect zen-like simplicity and quality of the 1095 steel...what is the Japanese concept...Wabi-Sabi...but that's more about random, organic imperfection than simplicity.

1095 may not be a supersteel...but is sure is a super-duper steel. It does everything extremely well (except resist rust) and is easy to maintain.

I am working as hard as I can on getting my hands on two more ESEE knives, already owning 4.

Zombie thread here, but I found it and wanted to add to it. I did not own an ESEE until this year - ordered my first one, a 3-mil, for my b-day. Since then i have accumulated another 3-OD w/orange scales, 4-DT, Izula-II, and a lite machete for my wife. They are addictive! Great knives for a great price. A big part of what makes these knives attractive is the participation of Jeff and Mike on this forum - it means something when the owner(s) are excited about their product and their end users. Kudos to those guys and their support staff.

(Its funny??? I can't seem to Stop takin the blades out at night and cutting newspapers into curlycues????? or just holdin the grip??? Yeah somethins up?)

Yes thats normal in the early stages....Have you started doing that naked yet?

I recently ordered 6 and haven't even received it yet, and I'm already picking the 3 I'm going to order this weekend and the 4 that's right around the corner...I NEED THERAPY!!!!! I'm ready to sell off some of my collection to get the rest of em (I really hate to see siblings separated, lol) I kicked swords, I kicked balisongs, but this one ranks with firearms...I just don't see it going away soon. Damn, guess i need a 2nd job to pay for ESEE support

But we are seeing a trend with other manufacturers realizing that customer service and taking care of the end-user is the most important thing when it comes to running a business. This is a good thing.

This is what a customer-centric company is! The wave of the future!

I think this is it. The other thing is, I bought my Esee 5, a week ago and feel like I got a whole family/network with it by coming here. I will have no problem putting the money up for the whole line knowing that support is just a little typing away. I check the forum now whenever i get a chance. Need more!!!

Jeff, your team is the best in the industry IMHO. I wish all of you the best of everything.
