Spark, do you know how long DNS propagation will take? It is a real pain that any links in threads that contain the old DNS don't work.
 
DNS propagation is complete for me here in Florida and this seems to have cured the "Attached Photos" problem mentioned earlier in this thread.

Great job to your IT people, Spark.

And, of course, a big thanks to you.
 
1) Top menu buttons still not working for me in Texas.

2) When I run a search involving three words, I get "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16 bytes) in /srv/www/html/forums/includes/class_core.php on line 3277"

3) Also, search requires waiting a full minute in between searches. Waayy too long. Knock it down to 10 or 20 sec please.

It can take 24-72 hours for the new IP address for bladeforums to propagate to DNS servers worldwide. There isn't anyway to speed this up as every ISP controls how frequently their DNS servers accept updates. Most propagation should take place within 24 hours but there are always stragglers out there especially some overseas ISPs. I would think most CONUS DNS servers already have the correct A record.
 
As of 10:15, Search is not working in Delaware ( I use Verizon).
Got the following error message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /srv/www/html/forums/search.php on line 1156

Hopefully will clear up in another day.
 
i added a signature line but it is only showing on my new posts. not on the prechange posts:confused:

isn't a big deal but thought i would mention it.
 
Images that I posted on threads and that worked fine can no longer be viewed when clicking on the thumbnail. When I attempt to load properly sized images that have worked previously, I keep getting "invalid image file".

Same here, just tried to upload image from desktop to this post, I got invalid image file. But this same image was posted by another forum member months ago. I downloaded it for future use.

But the good news is The DNS has finally hit my isp and the links from emails and PMs work.

I've got friend on a Mac that's unable to log on. He tried his old PW and a new one he requested.

Any thoughts?

Logging in should work. There is a new thing with this version of the forums software where passwords can NOT be the same as usernames. When we upgraded, there were around 1000 profiles that had this, that had their passwords reset. If he uses the "Forgot your password" feature, it should work for him.

Image issues are being worked on, and are related to the operating system switch we did.
 
Does the report post button work? I reported two spams this afternoon at 3:?? and they are still up and have not been removed. Both are by same user selling phones posting in the wrong forums anyway.

Just wondering?

In the top right corner, where the big Bladeforums title and logo used to be, it now has VBulletin title and logo instead

Got them now. Some of us were off to family dinners today. Didn't get back till 20:00 :D

Are you using the "BFC Large Print" setting as opposed to the "vBulletin 3 style"? (found in the blue bar at the bottom of the page)

If so, this is normal.
 
I can't load jpg files for a custom avatar now, and they are the same JPG files I used before the upgrade. They are less than the required file size in jpg format.

I've tried to load from desktop and from photobucket. It is 4K and less than 120 x 120.
