I love the 88 Masur. I have too many knives, usually more expensive than the 88, yet the 88 has a place amongst my favourites. It feels so very right.

The blade centering is commonly alright though sometimes the edge tends to hit the back spring and thus render a blind spot. This occurs maybe 1/10 cases.

On the few EKA knives I have seen, the tip hit inside the handle to stop blade closure instead of the kick at the heel of the blade hitting. A Mercator does that too.

I love EKA knives otherwise. I mean really think highly of them. Good steel for the money. With the screw construction you can disassemble and adjust them. Great knives.

This is a fatal error to me however. I have "fixed" these two by pinning them so the heel hits the pin then grinding a spot at the heel to adjust them in. I screwed up placement on the compact and had to grind the heel too much (should have made a paper template.).

Anyways, is this standard on EKA knives?

Do all EKA knives do this?

Very nice selection you have there. I recently picked up a carbon steel 38 and it finds it's way into my pocket quite a bit. The blade is like a razor and the handle is very comfortable. Truly a very nice pocketknife for a very low price

I agree of course! This is the knife model I have used most of all. I've never had a white one though.
