I unfortunately don't have any knives that are really beat up. I've seen a few that look awesome. But, I'd really like to see some other peoples knives that they like a lot now that they are beat up! I like old things with lots of wear that still work great, especially knives.

(If there's already a thread out there like this. Please delete this and inform me of where that thread is! Much appreciated.)

Patina on my work knife, misono swedish sujijiki 270mm.

all my knives get significant use and constant polishing.

This is an old two-hole clip Spyderco Military purchased back in 96 when they first came out. The original clip screws stripped when the clip snagged something. I took the knife apart, re-drilled the holes, and tapped them for larger screws. Ground down the protruding threads on the inside and re-assembled it. Did that back in like 2000 or something. Applied black heat shrink tubing to the clip as well. I take care of them properly and they soldier on for years. Prior to purchasing a left hand Millie, this knife saw a lot of time in my left pocket, hence the slightly re-shaped scale and liner lock near the clip, to make opening the blade left handed easier.

Long gone now but what a great knife it was while I had it!!!

Oh I love this. Gotta love those knives that are cosmetically trashed but (hopefully) still functioning great and sharp as ever. My favorite trashed knives have to be old POS Schrades, scrapyard, busse, emerson, and anything deceracoted. Once I get the first scratch in my Adamas ceracote, its game over. I'll never think twice about what I cut with it again. :) Until then though, I will freak out even when cutting boxes.

I don't really abuse mine, but they get used hard and dirty. I'll post in order of most used first.

the sprint run Spyderco Military cpm m4 steel kicked every other knife out of my pocket for two and a half years. I can't imagine a more perfectly rounded Edc in this size range.

Spyderco Native FRN. My first good knife, used the tar out of this thing as it was my only pocket knife for over a year. the s30v held up to my lack of sharpening ability. I thought I had better pictures, but couldn't find them and just snapped this one.

Spyderco Centofante 4. The extreme ability of this super thin (2mm) blade and piercing wharncliffe profile make some people not want to use it hard. it has the opposite effect on me. I thinned down the edge by laying it flat on the stones, while the actual edge is raised a hair, probably in the twenty degree range. let's just say it's my best cutting modern folder.

It recently got some new scales and a polished clip so it doesn't look as battered as before but this one's been through a lot with me.

Ooh Ill play, I love the look of used knives.

The one on the right has been batoned through logs with rocks on multiple occasions.

I've got many more, this is just a taste.

Used, abused, and made in Japan...that's how I like my knives AND my women.

Kidding, obviously.
