Spent two days in the Cascades chopping stuff. Ended up stabbing through two cans of chilli because we forgot the can opener:)

Are you sure? I think its a BK2

It's a Becker BK10, one of the newer ones to be specific. Which means it had the rougher coating and no roll stamping.

BK2 is a drop point, and does not have a thumb ramp.

This is an old two-hole clip Spyderco Military purchased back in 96 when they first came out. The original clip screws stripped when the clip snagged something. I took the knife apart, re-drilled the holes, and tapped them for larger screws. Ground down the protruding threads on the inside and re-assembled it. Did that back in like 2000 or something. Applied black heat shrink tubing to the clip as well. I take care of them properly and they soldier on for years. Prior to purchasing a left hand Millie, this knife saw a lot of time in my left pocket, hence the slightly re-shaped scale and liner lock near the clip, to make opening the blade left handed easier.

Love the job you did on the re-tapping of the clip and that heat shrinking is spot on. Nice job. Did that happen to be heat shrink from an automotive storm? I haven't seen any of the length and shape.

Not worn one bit.I bet It'll take a helluva lot more than a few cans of chili to wear her out.Beautiful blade (looks like Darrel's wink wink)

Really good thread:thumbup:,unfortunately I don't have much to contribute.I always seem to be polishing & buffing out any scratches they incur from use.stainless anyway, carbon steel's a different story.I'll see if I can dig some up.

I unfortunately don't have any knives that are really beat up. I've seen a few that look awesome. But, I'd really like to see some other peoples knives that they like a lot now that they are beat up! I like old things with lots of wear that still work great, especially knives.

(If there's already a thread out there like this. Please delete this and inform me of where that thread is! Much appreciated.)

:thumbup:These are all well used & well loved.

I have a Buck 186 Titan that looks like the has been chewing on it. I converted the handle and the chisel sharpened blade to a Selector configuration. The TiAlN coating (92 HRC) has prevented the blade from looking too rough. I actually use the sides of the blade as a finishing steel for softer blades.View attachment 389675

I've carried this Byrd Cara Cara Rescue for about 3 years now and use it as a commercial lobsterman. I've cut, scraped, sawn, pried, and chopped with it, used it as a screwdriver, dug with it, etc. It is in pretty rough shape and the serrations are noticeably sharpened away but it has done everything I have asked of it.
