SFNO vs. ASH-1 - and do I still need a SFNO?

The blade thickness of my SFNO-LEs range from .224" to .228" while my one ASH1-LE measures .221". The biggest difference, other than blade length, is the handle shape. Different overall shape and angles, of course, but also a lot more handle thickness variation on the ASH1-LE -- i.e., it's curvier with more 'ins' and 'outs', to throw in some technical terms ;-)

Well, I obviously feels ya', man. And and always, the LE is likely the best of the best versions, IMHO (I fancy an ASH-1 LE, myself. Quite a lot - but sadly cannot go it right now. Sadly.). I will take some shots for you of the blade silhouette and handle broadside, as well as some profile handle comp shots, of all three comping vs. the SFNO LE (my skinny ASH is a home highly hand-shaped profile, the middy is a factory/CS hand-shaped mag, and the fatty is an untouched scalloped mag). Might be Friday or Saturday, but I promise to get to it!

Happy to help ya's!

Cheers!

MadMarkie, sorry it took so long. We had lots of company over the last week.

Same knives in same positions, but full spinal shot.

Same knives in same relative positions but in lateral/"presentation side" shot of scales.

I am happy to take similar comp photos with an ASH-1 Skinny and/or an ASH-1 Fatty, but you seemed to indicate that there might not actually be a need for you. Just let me know if you'd like those.

No apologies required my friend, as the pictures posted are exactly enough to push me over the edge... and begin my quest for a SFNO LE :D
My most sincere thanks, and I hope you continue to have a wonderful holiday season!

Glad to have helped! - that is, if "helped" means enabling you to spend more dough on yet more INFI ;) Good luck! Maybe someone will see your post and help you out. That is exactly what happened to me.
