Thanks to a generous fellow collector, I was able to score this very nice chute integral by Rodrigo Sfreddo.

4 7/8" blade, 9 5/8" overall ladder damascus, stag scales.

Here's a shot with the John White Gentleman Bowie that was discussed here before. They both have been seeing a little carry time :D

Thanks Paul!

Two fantastic knives from 2 of the best if not the best out there ... Congrats in a big way

BEAUTIFUL pair of knives. Congrats!

Question: How do they feel in the hand comparitively? I would think the Sfreddo is heavier being an integral.

Peter

Thanks gentlemen.

Peter, you are correct, the integral is heavier. The White knife isn't a lightweight with the fileworked liners and elephant bark ivory, but the Sfreddo does outweigh it by a bit.

They both are fairly handle heavy. The Sfreddo balances at the back of the forward pins. The White balances at the forward pin ---- so both balance about an inch behind the guard.

I think that is the best looking chute knife I have seen. Generally they don't do a thing for me, but that one is sweet. The gentelman bowie is no slouch either. Congrats!

I'm normally not fond of damascus or integrals, but I really love both on that knife. Congrats.

Very similar profiles. We are seeing what style knives you are drawn to. Congrats.

LOL, you are correct.

I love the size --- this is about the largest knife I can carry comfortably concealed in the hot weather of Texas.

I love an aggresive blade profile (normally clip or trailing points.)

And I love natural handle materials...

I'm also very glad to have both of these makers represented in my humble collection

Humble collection. LOL. :)
Thanks for sharing and Congratulations, Eli !
It doesn't get much better than those two.
What vintage is the Sfreddo ?

Doug, this was completed late October 07, and has his JS stamp on it.

WOW!!! That knife makes my heart stop!!! That Damascus & gorgeous stag REALLY look incredible together. I LOVE everything about that knife.

I really like it, but it would be even nicer with a thinner tang, in my opinion.
