Sfreddo Integral Chute

I like it, but for me the ricasso area is to wide.

Keith, I can definitely see your point. It could stand to be slightly smaller. Oddly enough though, this was one of the first things to catch my eye in a favorable way. What I mean is this --- I like the idea of integral blades a lot, mostly in principle of the strength inherent to the design. However, it seems many integral knives are so slimmed down and narrowed for elegance, that they look almost fragile, IMO. The "beefy-ness" of this one appealed to me right off the bat. It looks and feels like you could punch it through a door if you needed to, lol. :)

I really like it, but it would be even nicer with a thinner tang, in my opinion.

Also agreed. A tapered tang would be my choice to reduce weight without compromising strength/integrity.

There are a couple of things I would change about this one if I were ordering direct, but I feel very fortunate to have a blade from Rodrigo that is "so close to what I would order," without the wait, and at a very good price point. I'll carry this one a bit and see how it performs :thumbup:

good score dude:thumbup::)

Paul and I both ordered Chutes from RS and while his was created by RS in a non-traditional fashion, I asked for the more traditional Chute but of course integral.

It fits in well with a few other Chutes on display.
