SH-1 Value

not to hijack the thread but very related, the SH-E I am guessing would be quite a bit less?

I snagged one on eBay for $638, including shipping. I didn't really know what I had bought at the time. It had several different bidders, so I'm sure that's somewhere near fair market these days.

very good deal. enjoy it and post pics

How about the ASH-1 in Infi at .22" or .25"?

We've had a few that are close, including the recent Battle Grade. The ASH-1 at .32" was solid as a rock, but darn thick for everyday use and cutting. The Skinny was nice too ... but skinny. The LE at .22" was perfect ... but expensive. How about .25" in CG and Satin? With Snakeskin while we're at it.

I think I see a pig in the sky!! Or a Hog!

When's the lasttime Busse offered anything in Snakeskin? I know when I asked about Snakeskin for an AK47, I was told there weren't any pieces left that were big enough. There might be a few scraps left for a small run of small knives, but I don't think we're ever going to see it again in a regular offering of something as big as an ASH-1.

The Busse website used to say:

The Elusive Snakeskin
The Snakeskin micarta handles were discovered accidentally and cannot be duplicated. Not only have we tried to duplicate this unusual layered look with several different manufacturers who claimed that duplication would not be a problem, but several other knife manufacturers have tried quite unsuccessfully to duplicate it as well. Once our supply is used up, the Busse Combat original Snake Skin micarta will not be an available again.

You can still find the story through Google, but it's no longer linked to he Busse Combat website, and the WayBack Machine shows that it hasn't been since they redesigned the website in 2013. I'd take that to mean it's gone for good.
