Great work Tim!! I agree w/ Rick on leaving it thick. Just touch up the fine details and put it to use. Better to be too thick than too thin on the first trial run.
O.K., I spent a couple of more hours and pretty much cleaned up the scales (handles). I posted more pictures to the #3 post. There is a little more work to do on the spine, but the handles are done basically. I was originally going to give it a bead blasted finish when done, but it currently matches the finish of the original one so close right now, I'm going to leave it as is. The KMG grinder makes it so much easier to do the rework, but it still takes time.
The thumbramp and radiused spine sets it apart from the regular Ash1.
The blade profits a lot from this minor adjustment/correction in my opinion:thumbup::thumbup:

That looks really, really good. Do you think the missing 3rd pin will affect strength? I mean, unless your Noss it's probably not going to matter...
