SH1 clone project

Sweet project, Tim! Really makes the new ASH look "old skool" and classic!

Tim, how much total time would you say it has taken you to do this?

W:eek:W!!! Very cool indeed!!:thumbup: I like it!

...Just one minor thought. My eyes keep getting drawn to the 'circle' in the micarta, and I'm guessing that there's a similar pattern on the other side... About the size of a large coin. Too bad Busse doesn't sell coins like Scrapyard's, but have ya thought about maybe trimming down a pair of Steel Heart I dogtags & setting them into the micarta?? ... Just looked at one, and maybe that one won't work, but the aluminum ergo tag might. Again, just thinkin' aloud, but I like that clone!!! :D:thumbup:

Well, certainally not fast enough to make any money doing rehandles! I would guess about 8 - 10hrs, but I stretched it out over a week. It would be less time to do hollow rivets, as there was lathe time added in messing around with the hidden fasteners to get them sized tight for the counter bored holes in the micarta.

Very, very impressive!

Pretty soon, we're all going to forget about the infamous 'Ducci Grind.' :D

Well, I don't "drink and grind" anymore, I'll leave that to Jerry and Garth! I'll practice sober on some test steel for awhile before doing blades again!

That looks AWESOME Tim!!! That's going to be a SWEET user! Looks even more comfortable than the original!
