Shaman sprint run?

Same shyte just happened with KnivesPlus and a 14:03 time stamped email alert, LOL. I think that they had a drop at 14:00 Pacific!

It's not surprising it just has to do with quantities. I have a couple friends in the industry and many of them received between 6 and 30 knives for the entire run. Keep in mind I'm sure some of the employees get first dibs and that might account for the majority of the small run !

A few of the sales that sent out email notifications were done within 45 seconds. I'm old school so I don't have a snowball's chance in hell to sit around and try to snipe one of these things and I just happened to luck out with a phone call which is how I like to conduct business.

I received three emails myself from pretty much all the Distributors that you mentioned and I missed out as well. It doesn't matter if I would keep another or pass it on to you guys it just shows that the only reason I have one is pure luck.
 
I hit the "add to cart" button the millisecond they came online at Cutlery Shoppe and still didn't get one. Guess I'm out. I'll wait for a bigger run one day.

Same. These must be being funneled to alternative channels with dealers putting very few up on the sites.
 
I really try to not let the whole knife hobby thing bother me if I miss something cool but this one does. When I got my original shaman right after the initial release my first thought was that this was the pattern I’ve always wanted. My next thought was that if I could get it in my favorite steel and handle material( cruwear/natural micarta)it would easily be my grail spyderco. I never thought it would come to fruition. I have a busy job, a family and very little time to stalk dealer websites. It’s kinda depressing to think my grail spyderco is a pipe dream unless I want to buy on the inflated secondary market, which I don’t. Bummed.

Don't fret that. It doesn't matter. These are going in seconds when they go up for sale, so even if you had more free time most likely it wouldn't make any difference. You would have just wasted more time like some of us instead of focusing on more important things. :)

LMAO, I didn't even get the email notice from DLT today. O_o Figures, this would happen on a day that I couldn't be near a computer. Whatever. :rolleyes: If indeed today was the main release of these for DLT, and they truly sold out that fast, this is a joke. I hope the flippers choke on these knives. :thumbsdown: :poop: I'd love to have one, but I can live without it.

I'm starting to have similar sentiments. I love my M4 Shaman, and would live without the CruCarta model if that's the way the chips fall. I spent less money on this really knice custom stacked leather bullnose fixed blade in 52100 today anyway. ;) :cool:
