Shameless copies.

Still don't know that that's in China. The guy selling it was in Georgia I think. Anyway as far as copies go, i don't think the Busse group has much to worry about there. Sure, ripping of an idea is still stealing, but in the end it effects the makers of the originals very little. And if it is China, our government has no intentions or will of ever putting a stop to "idea" theft. It's been going in since the 70's and they still do it. From military hardware to I phones and all the stuff that go's with it. You buy the cheap copy you get what you pay for. E end if the cheap ASH copy is flying off the shelves, it will never put the real thing in any danger.

Crixus, while I respect your opinion and the civil way you post your ideas...

My experience is 180 degrees on the other side of the compass from your heading here...

I have personally been affected by copyright infringement ( outright highway robbery )-- and the kind of "lassiez-faire" attitude that you expound is exactly what the scum expect and thrive off of!!!

It's the same as dealing with outlaws all over the world-- the bad guys count on you "following the rules" while they use loaded gloves, hit below the belt, and kick you when you're down.

They need to be excised and irradiated at the roots just like the cancerous plague they are...if you knowingly steal someone elses' ideas &/or products YOU ARE A CRIMINAL

...stop & think about it...do you really know what these characters are doing with your funds?

The most innocuous answer would be to further expand their infringement upon one of our favorite brands...

The worst-- fund terrorism--

If you think that's too extreme, what do you think they're doing with your dollar?

Pick a couple, Pollyanna:

*Promoting American values?

*Protecting the environment?

*Promoting sensible business practices?

*Improving working conditions for their employees?

I do however share the opinion of some who have posted here that dealing with international criminals is largely out of our jurisdiction and reliant upon Washington...

But one thing (perhaps the only thing) we all can do is refuse to do business with the pushers...

But, if anyone knowingly purchases a counterfeited item, they are (at the very least) enabling these CRIMINALS!

Don't underestimate the power of your dollars-- either spent or withheld.

Could we just go back to bombing them? That seemed more my style....

Sorry just a little humor, this thread is lacking lately.

I do understand how badly intellectual theft can hurt someone. I know a writer who has truely suffered and does continously suffer from intellectual theft,on the flip side of that, he has hurt himself and his company badly and has been on the brink of bankruptcy since the late 90's pressing litigation against those who he considers to be stealing his ideas. Thing is you have to chose those battles wisley. I feel Ya, and I don't think the terrorism comment is extreme either. It's how you feel and you feel strongly about it and you say do. Keep on doing just that. Where these knives are concerned, I am positive that most will pass, and just save the cash and buy a real Busse/kin knife. I don't think Jerry is threatened at all by this trash.

I work with two guys that bought knock off Spyderco's after another guy showed his to them and we compared it to my real one. They are getting really good at making these things and sometimes people decide that the difference is more than made up for by the price. Hell, I bet the Chinese have sold just as many Sebenzas as CR has. If they had Team Gemini copy during the height of the TG/Walking Dead craze, just imagine how many sales Jerry would have lost to people who just wanted a "Daryl knife" and never planned on actually using it.

I bought a clone sar3 last week before I realized what it was. I saw it and really liked the design. It just said psrk on the blade, after looking online and Discovering what I bought I felt like an idiot and really guilty. so I ordered a Ratmandu from SRKW, a rodent 4 from the exchange and am currently making a deal on another ratmandu [emoji23][emoji23] I've never even held a busse or bussekin knife and I'm hooked haha.
Sorry Jerry, and everyone else for accidentally purchasing a clone. I hope my 3 legit knife purchases helps a little !

Thanks for the great forum, knives, and warranty. I look forward to using these knives a lot and purchasing a lot more.
Luke

I'd love to get hold of that clone and cut it in half with the read deal... but I would never give the cash to the bums in the fist place. Buying a fake accidentally is a mistake, and thus forgivable... otherwise, not. That's where I stand.

Shame on them.
