Do you get possums a little later in the night to clean up the remainder?Last night I put out enough plates for everyone. The night before I could see a big coon bullying the others when just one feed plate was out there. View attachment 2955473
Yes I noticed that, they come in about 230-4am and sniff around licking plates, Supper here is at dark for the critters, they need to get out of bed earlier.Do you get possums a little later in the night to clean up the remainder?
I read decades ago about how palm trees in California had a rat infestation* problem. No worries however, they all eventually got elected to office.we call them citrus rats cause in the old days it was all citrus orchards around us. those are gone now, but the rats ain't. everyone else calls them roof rats or black rats. tree rat works too as thats where ya see them roofs and trees, powerlines, tops of fences, etc. up high...
Our possums seem to have a longer work night compared to the raccoons. Later start, usually.Yes I noticed that, they come in about 230-4am and sniff around licking plates, Supper here is at dark for the critters, they need to get out of bed earlier.
I used to add the "o", but the majority just call 'em possums. Interesting critters.we have opossums in north America. possums are Australia critters. that said I call ours possums too....just easier and sounds better.....
