those peafowls i got running around would eat that in a heartbeat. they love bugs and arachnids, etc.

Yes, related to spiders but not spiders. They eat other bugs and despite their size, their mouth parts are too small to bite humans. So overall, a good critter to have on hand.

Their only defense is apparently a bitter taste or detaching a twitching leg as distraction. Some birds and lizards like to eat them.

It’s a decent size pond fed by a spring, it’s in the woods down a deer trail off the licking river.
