I wept a little as I left the shop today. Just a bit down the hill as I was about to ride home, my bike's Olight revealed a small white lifeless Milquetoast in the middle of the road. I informed Chris, so he could tell his daughter, who was going to take Milquetoast with her when she's ready to move out on her own. I wept because not only did he come up to me today on my coffee break and hang out for a bit purring loudly, and chasing the leaves I was rustling for him, but will probably weep again, knowing how much Chris' daughter loved the little guy, and thinking of how this will make her feel. I'm on the verge of it even now.

It doesn’t take much for us to develop attachments to these little guys. I rescued a baby mouse a few years ago - three actually, but only one survived the first night - and I got a bit watery when she passed. I feel for you, brother. At least the little guy is in a better place now.

Condolences, my friend. That's a tough part in the journey of life.

I’ve been informed that this is actually Indy (a female kitty). Ninja and Indy are very similar looking….
