Great GAW thanks Glenn, I'd like to opt in.

Like many of us here, I have a lot of knives and some get neglected-but then you get the pleasure of rediscovering gems. My very regular carries are: GEC73 liner lock Stag, 38 Lick Creek (amazingly versatile), White Owl 68 Kryptonite, 33 Conductor in Stag, CASE Pen in Yello D, Fontenille Pataud small Lag, RR Mini Copperhead, Queen Teardrop and this Queen Small Stockman.

Some really good responses so far, everyone! Exactly what I was hoping to see. With all the press that GEC gets (and deservedly so!), I am pleased to see many older brands featured in peoples' EDC rotations.

I am also enjoying seeing some sentimental knives being carried. I have knives like that, but I am for the most part afraid to lose or damage them. I do carry some from time to time, for instance this WH Morley that belonged to my father-in-law. I did carry it earlier this year during all his funeral goings-on, but it's now put away for safe keeping until I take it out again sometime.

Let's keep this going!

Steely_G- you know you can dye your Case bone handles/scales. I'd check in Main.&Tech. but basically it's rit-dye soaking in heated water, plus a literally a couple other steps and that's it. You might be able to get a better(more to your liking) color this way, and could probably involve your daughter in it as well. Just a thought.
Thanks, Neal

I have OFTEN admired your wonderfully diverse selection of beautiful classic knives Glen. I am quite envious to say the least.

This was tougher than I thought it would be. I figured I would pull out the top 3 or 4 and that was that, but before I knew it I had pulled out almost every knife I own.
The big two right now would be my 77 Barlow and the 16 forum knife. They both see pocket time pretty much daily.
rmW1yNz.jpg

As for the rest, some see frequent use, and some just get fondled and carried once a month or so when I start feeling guilty. The 110 in 5160 gets carried somewhat regularly. It's only real competition is a particular Idaho made frame lock. Between the two my locking folder needs are pretty much met. The 15 is a hard one to put back once it makes its way out of the knife drawer. The presidential is more or less just an honorary mention, but it has seen way too much pocket time for me to leave it out. The 77 has all but kicked it out of rotation. The 71 is my dedicated fishing folder. The eureka is the guilty pleasure I had spoke of. And last but not least, the 15 forum knife gets carried quite a bit especially in the ultra hot and humid days of summer.

Thanks for a shot at that sweet streamline, Glen!

*I just realized I used the wrong name :o

Thank you Glenn for a great idea of GAW topic, very interesting to see.

Mike

Beautiful knife Glenn. Not an entry good sir.

Im loving seeing everyone's group. Erik for example has a wonderful well loved group.

I shared these and the reasons why in another thread but I thought I would share these here again.

More often than not it is one of these. You can read why in this thread post 2395

I also enjoy carrying and using these.

One of these depending on the set car keys.

I keep a small wooden box on my shelf containing many of my EDC knives - they change a bit and all aren't in there, but these are 80% of them. When going hunting I pick one of the 4" to 4-1/4" knives, for work or dress occasions it's the shorter ones. Nice custom job on that Streamline. OH

Thanks for the opportunity, Glenn!

While I carry some other knives, these are my most frequent and favorite carries.

The Presidential and TC vie for EDC on most days as they are both premier examples of quality construction.

The Remington and I*XL are newer additions and are frequently carried on Sundays although they pop in during the week, too. I love older Barlows but prefer single blade ones for carry.

I've only recently noticed I seem to favor spearpoints.

Sorry for the bad pictures!
I have a few different "EDC groups" to share:) You will see some a couple of duplicates FYI...
First, these are knives that I have recovered. My skills are developing and can't compare to Glenn, but I am getting better.

Next, here is my vintage scissor group. I know two is not many, but these are difficult to find!

Third is my super slim group

And last but not least is my lobster group!

e407df98495c7df45d13b8059393fc77.jpg

Here's my commonly carried corral.
Case cv slim trapper
Case cv Texas jack
Case cv mini trapper
Queen railsplitter
GEC bullnose
Camillus tl-29 custom (by me)
Vic cadet
Vic tinker
Vic pioneer
Vic pioneer x
As you can see this collection is much less expensive than most on the porch. Unfortunately my blade budget is near nonexistent, but my favorites are all of high quality and value.
By far the most carried of the bunch is the Camillus. I like single blade slip joints, and my blood, sweat, and tears made it that way. Plus bocote is on of the most attractive woods in my opinion.
The Texas jack and mini trapper were milestone gifts from my wife, so they hold a special place in my heart.
Victorinox... well who doesn't. I've had some sort of SAK in my pocket since I was boyscout over 25 years ago.
Thank you for the chance at a lovely specimen that I think would fit nicely into the clan. If I were to win, I would give away one of my tl-29 customs.( thanks for the inspiration Glenn)
