I am really enjoying seeing the oldies pop up in these EDC shares! Anyone else want to share?

I've already entered, but I'd be happy to show my family again. It seems to be growing by leaps and bounds every day! There is another one waiting for me in my mailbox right now :) I also have one on it's way from England and I'm having a custom Barlow made as well :D I'll post a pic of my family to-date this evening.

I have many subsets of knives I carry. I like to carry at the very least a fixed blade, a medium 2-3 bladed slip joint bein' preferential to Stockmans, Barlows, Trappers, a locking folder usually a liner lock, a Victorinox Classic on all my keys and a modern medium locking one hand opener.

Every day I pick from one of these, all 11 Traditional Forum's knives. Usually it's the latest one but I'm no stranger to throwin' the 08 Northwoods Stockman or any of the others in my pocket instead. ;)

...and a smaller 2"ish smaller multi blade work being fond of the serpentine jack in a shadow pattern. :) but it usually comes from this box. :)

This one was built for me by Jim Dunlap modeled on the Schrade 930T cut down to 3". Has been my main carry EDC every since.

Calling any of these other than my 2015 forum knife and EDC is truly stretching the meaning of the term. That 2015 is pretty much perfect for me and I carry it almost every day. But here are the other traditionals that have been in my pocket at least once this year,

Oh man, I would totally carry that streamline. Do not send it to me if it needs to be in a display case!

My edc family is small these days. My old worn Congress gets 90% of the pocket time, with beerscout and opinel getting weekend time. (I forgot my bullnose! Weekend duty!)

Wanted to share my experience and use of traditionals. I'm not super into them, or at least I don't own very many, but the two I can think of are some of my most used knives. I have my SAK Rambler on my keychain and I absolutely love it. The blade probably sees the least usage of any tool but the scissors, file, and bottle opener see a lot of use. The other one that I have and use is my little Rough Rider baby toothpick. It sits on the table by my chair and is my go to for all sorts of tasks when at home. I like it so much I got two of my best friends RR baby toothpicks with different handle colors as Christmas gifts last year. We don't exchange gifts but at that price I though it was cool that we all have one now, and I know they use them quite a bit.

What a great give away. Thank you Glenn for the opportunity and thank you everyone else for sharing your EDC families.

For me, 80% of the time it's one of these beloved three:

A modified Scrade USA 34OT, an A. Wright Buffalo Lambsfoot, and a Camillus 72 in BSA livery.

Maybe 15% of the time, one of these three:

GEC 33 Conductor Whittler, A. Wright Ebony Lambsfoot, and this year's Forum Knife, which has already seen enough pocket time to bump it to this tier.

The rest of the time is an occasional deviation when I'm feeling like something really different.

Good luck to all those who enter!

Whilst not EDC as such, it's more Extraordinary Day Carry.. I do like to let this old gent out under supervision, he's still game :D

Rem. Sleeveboard c. 1922. His joints are a bit weak these days, and there's gap or two, but he's knocking on a hundred and nothing wrong with the bone:)

Very generous and entertaining GAW, Glenn!:thumbup:
I've enjoyed seeing the variety of knives folks consider to be their EDCs.:cool:
I'd like to enter the GAW, but I have a slight problem. ALL of my knives are EDC; I don't own a single knife that I don't carry and use, but I can't show them ALL here (probably nearing 200 knives at present). :o
What I'll do is describe the categories I use in loading up my pockets with the knives that I'll carry for a given week. I actually have a schedule that tells me what knives to carry from each category for each week; it takes 20 weeks to get through my current schedule.
Each week, I carry:
1) a stockman (e.g., a Schrade USA 34OT)
2) a canoe (e.g., a Rough Rider lockback canoe in amber jigged bone)
3) an Alox SAK (e.g., an olive Farmer)
4) a non-Alox SAK (e.g., a Recruit)
5) a non-SAK with bail (e.g., a Böker USA electrician knife)
6) a non-SAK European knife (usually from Spain, but I also have knives from England, Portugal, and Germany)
7) a "big" knife (usually something over 4" closed, e.g., an Imperial toothpick)
8) a watch pocket knife (usually something around 3" closed, e.g., a Hen and Rooster mini canoe)
9) a Peanutesque knife (usually < 3" closed, 2-bladed jack or pen, e.g., a Case peanut or a peanut-sized half-whittler)
10) a "miscellaneous" knife that doesn't fit in another category (e.g., Barlows or Sodbuster Jrs)

In addition to whatever is in the preceding rotation for the week, I ALWAYS carry a Vic Minichamp, a Rough Rider small stockman with mathematical scrimshaw by r8shell, and a chestnut jigged bone CV Case Sodbuster Jr. that I won in a BigBiscuit GAW and use as a "prayer reminder".

leghog & Glenn Thanks gents! I do like to carry the Old Rem but carefully and on special outings. Bone and tangstamps are very nice, pinned shield too. Wish GEC would try their hand at tip-bolsters.

Regards, Will

A few of my EDC's, sorry not family portrait. But the one that is most special is the Olivewood sodbuster? that I picked up in Italy when I visited my daughter who was studying there,

Here are most of my traditionals. With exception to my great-grandfather's big Case hunter, they are all users and all get rotated into edc. Thanks Glenn and happy holidays everyone.

These include GEC, Case, Queen, Northwoods, Primble, Ulster, Camillus, Schrade, Sheffield, and Victorinox.
