Share Your Unique Damascus

Nice, I like, this one is exceptional, you lucky dog Mr. Steel_Addiction. Thanks for Sharing.

Here is some Brad Vice (Alabama Damascus) a High Carbon in either a wave or random pattern on a Lynn Dawson Polaris fixed blade.

Really love that blue spirograph and the WH, Absolutely Beautiful. Here's some more from my collection.

That Scott Cook Lochsa, is exceptional. I like the tight ladder damascus on the blade and what looks like black mother of pearl on the handle. How in the world did you get your hands on such a beauty, did you order it (when he was taking orders) or was it Luck?

How does it compare to the original sebenza (in terms of tolerances, smoothness and how comfortable it fits the hand) putting rarity aside?

Thanks Dinokay...It was just pure luck that I found it at a online dealer.

The inlays are black abalone and 24k gold. It is like a Sebenza taken to the next level. Not surprising since Scott Cook was once the lead machinist at CRK. The integral
frame does give it a more solid feel, especially when opening and closing the blade. Also, the contoured handles provide a very nice grip.

Thank You MVG for sharing your Scott Cook Lochsa with us, I really appreciate it. Outside of CRK my favorite folder is a Custom Strider I was lucky enough to score last year.

If you will indulge me, here is a short video of my Damascus knives, below which is my latest catch: Caly 3 sprint run damascus blade/CF scales:

Locutus D'Borg, I enjoyed your video and love your WH collection, especially the B05 Monarch. William Henry is the only popular knife I do not own, I have to change that. Be careful, I see your collection is small but tomorrow it will be big and your bank account will hate you for it, Thanks for Sharing Brother.

Thanks. There are still some Monarchs available from select dealers. Around $950. Mine was a gift. BTW, I just bought another Hinderer, so my budget is blown.

That Scot Cook looks better every time I see it. What a great knife

I've not been a fan of damascus in the past, but obviously that is because I have not seen quality examples such as these! Wow! Beautiful all around!

The thing about "unique Damascus" is that every piece, every pattern, every style is unique! Therein lies the beauty. Just picked up another Alan Davis folder in high carbon Alabama Damascus. The thing I like about it (other than the Damascus) is that it is Mnandi-sized .... so it fits right into my gent's folder collection! The scales are Mammoth Ivory and liners are blue anodized titanium. Alan also anodized the base of the titanium thumb stud blue, but left the top polished. The Mokume bolsters go rather nicely with the scales. Nice thing about it is that none of the Mnandis are turning up their noses at this little outsider!!! Here's a pic with my DT Raindrop/Mammoth Bark Mnandi:

and another pic with the Raindrop/Mammoth Bark Mnandi and my DT Vines and Roses/Mammoth Ivory Mnandi to give a slightly better perspective on the size comparison with the Mnandis:

Stunning Dennis. And your photographic skills are excellent!

Thanks Serg .... but that's debatable! However, this time .... it only took me 10 shots to get the pics/lighting the way I wanted (or better said ... was hoping for)!!!

I absolutely love the filework on the spine of that blade. Does it continue all the way across to the back?

Beautiful Dennis, one of these days I'm going to be quick enough to score one of Alan Davis folders. I hear good things about his builds and absolutely love the damascus he uses, Thank You for Sharing Brother.

d r h....shame on you for introducing that mnandi sized Davis folder!

That little thing is almost too irresistible!

Not this one. The filework is only on the blade spine. I have two other gent's folders of his where, in addition to the filework on the blade spine, the liners are also fileworked.

Don't have time to take more pics, but did post a number of shots of the new AD in the forum gallery, as well as in the new additions section of my collection photos. Some of those pics (in the gallery) show the fileworked liners on the other two folders.

I hear you. I check frequently for his new creations. He's a really nice guy and I have talked to him about making me one to order. My problem is that I usually don't know what I like until I see it!! I do know what kinds of material I would want in it ..... so I keep looking at what he has done in the past and then continue to work on a mock-up until something clicks.

I know! When I saw him post this one, I jumped on it immediately. It's the smallest of his gent's folders that I have and fits right in there with the Mnandis!
