Figured I would bring this thread back, since it's been a while since it was on page 1. I've had this for a little while now ... this is Zoe Crist's newest Damascus pattern: Blackhawk. I think this would look great on a Sebenza or Mnandi.

Thanks for posting all of these wonderful pictures; they really whet my appetite for Damascus. At present CRK seems to offer only raindrop and ladder Damascus. Does that change from time to time?

Also, I get the general method for producing this steel, but some of these patterns are truly puzzles to me. Is there a clear, concise source for information on how these patterns are produced?
 
Been a little while since I got something with what I would call a "unique" Damascus .... however this one is really unique. It's a 3-bar composite made by Rob Calcinore comprised of 01, 1095, 1080, plain-carbon steel and nickel. The blade was nitre-blued to give it some color. Definitely not suited for a Mnandi .... but might look very interesting on a large Sebenza! It looks super in this Alan Davis gent's folder
