ooh that is nice Augie! Hadn't realized they had the pinched top bolsters too. Be still my heart! LOL

Mine came in the mail the other day, and seems to have taken up permanent residence in my back pocket. Makes me feel like James Cagney. :D

and that ebony sure is classic. Have to keep reminding myself to just be happy with my blue camel bone, but you guys make it tough!

These are a lot more edc friendly than I thought they would be, that blade profile does anything I have needed it for.

My wife surprised me with a #63 in Sunbrite for Valentines Day. Fellas, if your wife isn't supporting your GEC habit, there's something wrong! This is my first in Sunbrite. Very happy to add this one to my collection. The standard version isn't quite as pointy and sharp as the Templar.

Your Wife is very thoughtful on such a nice gift draggat, that sunbright looks great.

Thanks! I knew she was The One when I met her, but when they start buying you the right knives, you really know they're something special! She got some pretty nifty stuff from me too!

Lemmy, I felt the same way, was not going to get one but when they came out with the Chestnut i decided to get one.Really glad I did, it feels great and is such a classy knife, even the tang stamp is classy if that makes any sense. Fit and finish is outstanding.

Hey Augie - how does that 440C sharpen up; how are the Chestnut covers holding up; and how does it carry in your pocket?

I really love my #63 Mako. Carrying it again this afternoon/evening. It's a really classy pattern, in my opinion, and also a very capable tool. I'm really glad that GEC decided to make this one; it's right up my alley.

Ed, I hate to admit it but I have not carried this one yet, my regular carry is a 2 blade 77 Marlow that I love. I found no need to sharpen this one as it was fine out of the tube so I can't help you there either. Sorry for not being much help.

Slowly but surely this pattern is growing on me. I can see one in ebony in my back pocket.

Thanks for the reply. I'm glad to hear that it was decently sharp out of the tube but I'll probably touch it up on my Lansky. I've got one on order with burnt orange covers and 440C blade and am looking forward to it. Thanks again.

#63 Fishtail with 440C blade and burnt orange bone covers . Received it yesterday - sharp out of the tube and ready to go to work.

I broke/rounded off the top sharp shoulder/edge of the tang that contacts the backspring as I don't want to wear a hole in my pocket when I carry this knife. Although a tad long for some for pocket carry, it rides nicely in my jeans pocket and that's all I wear anymore so I'll be carrying it frequently.

Ha, ha! Me too! I already have a #63 in yellow rose ( its a really cool knife and carries nicely in a pocket sheath) and then I saw Ed's burnt orange and........well...............I placed an order. ( Mind you this is after placing an order for another GEC #82 earlier in the day.)

Got to stop reading this forum after two beers!:D

I sure do like that burnt orange GEC atop, but these have to be it for me.
