Photos SharpByCoop's Gallery of Handmade Knives

I am a sucker for simplicity. I will have to scroll up for the persons name but that green handled loveless style city knife if that is the correct term I simply love. Seems to be a straight slip joint. And thank goodness I did not see any stupid clips and if I missed them I consider that a good thing. I went up to peek. Steve Jernigan green handle and I suppose it looks to be more of a dagger/modified warncliff and not a Loveless style city knife blade.

A big thanks to the one that went through all the effort to post these photos. When I see this type of work I say, Why not me! Great talent gentlemen and if I missed, ladies.

Let's enjoy some enhancements:

Chris Malouf sent me this wonderful folder. He is quite proud of his engraving work, and feels the knife is up to his standards, too. I agree 100%.

A worthy gift from a knifemaking father to his son for graduation.

Is there ever a time when a Loveless can't brighten a party?

Since we are in the stag parlor... (The action on this one is in another league!)

Arguably the most innovative knife in the past year:

Thanks for looking!

Yoiks!!! What a stunning line up. Thanks for these Coop!

The Loechner picture is fantastic though. The detail of the scooped butt with the pommel and the reflection.... Just stunning.

Man, great stuff, Coop! Had to go over the new images multiple times just to soak all the details in. Fabulous!

+1 on Wolfgang's amazing knife!
That Schmidt kills me, like all his knives do.

That Loerchner is amazing as is the Schmidt. But the rest of these knives aren't too shabby either.

I really, really like that small Steve Johnson. I's so perfect and pure.

Pretty knives are, what shall I say "pretty" but I look for a knife and say yes if it were not so expensive this is easily a user knife. I to love simplicity and this knife has "simplicity" and as you say "pure" written all over it.

Beautiful Job,
Daniel

yeah. that Loerchner piece made me say "oh, s**t" when I scrolled down to it.:D

Oooh... that Jim Schmidt folder is very nice! Lots and lots of spectacular knives in this thread.

Kind regards,

Jos

Great knives. The Dean / Dunn collaboration is gorgeous, I LOVE the Schmidt folder, and that Loveless piece is a one-photo explanation for the continuing popularity of his knives.

Those are all incredible. That Harvy Dean/Steve Dunn stockman is awesome!

Reserved for a good looking knife or two....

I don't always shoot the most ornate knives in our world. I like to make top quality users look nice, too.

I really loved these, Coop. "Un-ornate" they may be, but you
made them jump out of the page asking for much more
than a second and third look....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
You called it. Kudos to Brett Schaller. This photo above made the coveted back page of Blade magazine (Aug '10). These were touted because of his intentionally shorter blade to handle ratio. Easy to cut.

For all the ornate knives I shoot and submit, sometimes the editors are simply looking to see 3-piece knives that just WORK HARD. They don't need to cost a fortune.
