Sharpening s30v Question

The sharpmaker is fine. I have an ungodly amount of S30v knives. It takes time, but it can be done. I touch them up on the med stones. For me, I like S30v a little more "toothier" than other steels.

It took about 3, 15 minute session to get it sharp. First I would use the med. sticks then switch to fine. about 60 strokes on each side (point then flat) of each stick. I then stropped it. I do not have any diamond sticks however it might be a good investment if I am going to continue sharpening s30v. It was way easier to get my 110 with 420HC this sharp.

Thanks. That doesn't seem to be an excessive amount of time. The diamond sticks would cut that down maybe 1/3. Thats just the nature of S30V. Good job.DM
